I thought ME3 listed weapon stats? At least, it did according to the screenshots I saw. ME 2, on the other hand... I only played the single player demo, so I don't know how it's handled in the full game or multiplayer. Just going off of how things worked in ME2...that was less than elegant.

I've seen screens of Multiplayer's equipment screens. Weapons are shown with stat bars akin to your powers on the level-up screen. I imagine they're also in Single Player when you actually get a chance to equip your stuff, it just wasn't in the demo.

That's a huge relief. Thanks for the info!

Anyone look at the achievements on X360achievements? Bioware weren't kidding when they said MP was completely optional. Every achievement you can get in multiplayer has a way of also getting it in single player. So you anti-social cheevo whores aren't going to be left in the dust.

That's great news for me. I barely ever play online multiplayer, so even though I was planning on at leach giving the multiplayer in Mass Effect 3 a try, I'm glad that you won't have to do so in order to 1000/1000 the game.

I'm not actually an achievement chaser but I have to say - that's really decent of Bioware. I think more developers should consider this!

It's also very future-forward of them; half of the time if you're going for MP achievements and you weren't playing from day one, you're out of luck since people tend to move on pretty quickly on most of the non-COD games. And even if they're still playing you're going to get stomped all the time for having such a low level ;p.

Yeah, I'm actually interested in checking out the multiplayer because co-op Mass Effect sounds really fun with friends (plus it harkens back to the ye olden days of Bioware games like Baldur's Gate and NWN having MP modes). But I don't have Live Gold right now so it's nice to know there won't be cheevos locked out for me because I don't have access for that part of the game.
Of course, this would be moot if I ever got the PC version, but if that means dealing with the Origin software... no thanks there.

I believe ME3 comes with a free thing for Live.

There's that, but I could have sworn I saw an unboxing video last week that showed one of those little inserts for a free trial of live inside the case.

It's only a two-day trail, unfortunately.
When Xbox Live was selling two months for $2, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it.
