I'm guessing he meant the original post...if that's the case then I'm definitely suspicious.
I can't help but hope it's true though. I spoiled the ending and it kind of took the wind out of my sails. Bioware better fucking do something good and make it free, or I imagine they're going to lose a lot of their fanbase. From the description, it just contradicts everything that the series supposedly stood for.

I don't get what is so upsetting about the endings exactly?

Man, and here I thought "using humans as batteries" made no sense when held under the light. The truth about the Reaper "threat" makes no sense at face freakin' value. You have been found guilty of ROBOTS! You are hereby sentenced to ROBOTS!

Nah, it's cool. It's like, Victorian logic, or something. You attempt suicide which is illegal, fail in your attempt, so they hang you for breaking the law.

I'm enjoying what I've played so far, but if the ending is left at what they currently left it at and it's not some kind of stopgap/fake-out, I'm done. Not going to bother with another Bioware product. The choices I've made in the games have been superficial at best, and haven't affected anything so far...I was at least hoping they'd add up to something in the ending. Sounds like that's not the case.

Sounds like someone who never played the games, then. It wasn't a "oh my god, all the people I loved got killed" ending. It was a "All three endings are exactly the same, and they don't tell me what the fuck happened" ending.

Don't bother commenting after reading only that one quoted paragraph, that's just a very wise statement about the nature of fiction in general that I happened to like.
Just for the record, Richard Cobbett has proven himself an ardent fan of the Mass Effect series in his writings, yet was never shy to criticize its issues.

That's a lot of brutes. I guess you run into a lot of them in multiplayer mode. Here's hoping we can knock this one out.

I just read this:
THIS CHALLENGE IS ONLY IN EFFECT ON XBOX 360 AND PC. UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS, WE ARE UNABLE TO EXTEND THIS PROGRAM TO THE PLAYSTATION 3 PLATFORM.

Sounds like someone who never played the games, then. It wasn't a "oh my god, all the people I loved got killed" ending. It was a "All three endings are exactly the same, and they don't tell me what the fuck happened" ending. Exactly. No one is, say, asking for... DLC that retcons Mordin's death. They just want a well-executed ending. The one we got is like what would happen if someone didn't get the memo that No More Heroes' ending was a satire. And that ending was far more satisfying than this one, coming after an epic boss fight and ending on a picture-perfect moment with an awesome end credits theme.
