Fantastic as always.
And thanks for reminding me why the PS1 version holds a special place in my heart. I loved the spell-specific quotes.
I really do love the new cutscenes in the remake, though. They are pretty. (And I love the voice acting.)
Over-dramatic, sure, but hearing Delita's speech voiced like that with Ovelia's theme playing in the BG strikes a chord with me.
It's a credit to his VA that he said that and made it sound genuine.
Ah, it's worth sharing.

People who don't like this game are bad people. First thing I did when I played this was trying to read all of the back story. I couldn't follow it, or didn't understand it, and ended up quitting. I felt that if I left the story aside and just concentrated on the game play I was only enjoying 1/2 the game. I tried again with FFT Advance because the story was not as complicated, but ended up getting bored 20 hours into it. Someday I'll give it a last try just to make sure I don't like it.

People who don't like this game are bad people. Also I find almost all sRPGs to be incredibly dull affairs with some seriously questionable core mechanics, and FFT is no exception.

People who don't like this game are bad people. This is fact of life everyone, hope this helps. Seriously, FFT was the only game I would skip school faking sick to play. It is the game in all save files and combined across the PSX and PSP version that I have the most hours on, nearing a thousand probably. It is my favorite FF game. The sequels are abominations that should never have been connected to it. There is no equal in the FF name. Agrias is one of the only people, real or fictional, I would consider a role model for me. She is that fantastic. People who don't like Agrias are bad people.

Seriously, FFT was the only game I would skip school faking sick to play. You basically had to to beat it, the game is a second job. Do you guys want to know a dirty secret that i have
do you want to know the secret
..............
((((I only beat the GBA game and barely played the REAL DEAL))))I was young and foolish! To think, during the one point in my life where I'd play something as boring as a grid-based SRPG, that I would waste it on that.

I'd say the PSP release is the definitive version, but they definitely fucked up the timeline by having Balthier make a cameo. They could have just said he showed up through a portal like Cloud, but no. He came from the same world and same age as the people in Tactics, apparently.
I call bullshit.

The PSP version also has horrible, unforgivable lag. Disgaea PSP is flawless, a port of a PS2 game.

The PSP version also has horrible, unforgivable lag. Disgaea PSP is flawless, a port of a PS2 game. I wouldn't go quite that far. You lose a lot of functionality without the L2 and R2 buttons on Disgaea. Rotating the map is painful for my hands on the PSP version.
