I have noticed in some articles of this site about bizarre games like Ultra Balloon where the reviewer have played them while drunken. And generally I have heard similar stories about playing games (bizarre or not) while drunken for the fun so I would like to hear stories like that you or some friend(s) of you have experienced. As about me? The only drink I like is beer and I can't fill my stomach fill with more than two bottles and, of course, you can't get drunk with only two bottles of beer. So, I have never been drunk in my life (except one time where I made the huge, stupit mistake to take an aspirin before drinking some beer). Too shame, and I want even for one time in my life to play Touhou on Easy Mode (just like with other shumps I never play in Easy Mode) while drunken. While Touhou on Easy Mode? That's something I inspirited from these conversation I had on irc:
Me: Eeeeeeeeeh? Seriously? Easy Mode? How lame!
Other ppl: Why not? If you're drunk.
Me: Huh?
Other ppl: Yeap. Every time I get drunk I play Touhou on Easy Mode and a friend of mine record me on the camera.
Me: Hmmmmmmmm. I'd like to try that. Lol.

I don't drink, but did play my drunk friend on Tatsunoko vs Capcom one night and he somehow managed to dominate me and my other friends for more than 20 matches. I' m seriously every single combination got shot down in front of his Batsu, and every time he would yell out "Get Outta Mah Faze!" It was around 2 or 3 o'clock at night, but still that was no excuse for losing to him that badly.

Unfortunately, the only time I've ever been seriously drunk, I spent that time watching Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny rather than playing games. Ghost Squad would have been hilarious to watch me play, though. =P

I don't have a 'gaming while drunk' story. I do have a 'gaming while stoned' story.
My brother would always destroy me, 9 times out of 10 in Tekken Tag. He had an excellent handle of a few characters moves, and was competent at a few others. I was never really good at fighting games. It takes me a while to get into the swing of it.
Then I smoked weed. "You cannot defeat me," I stated "I can see through time." And he could not beat me. He couldn't even whittle my health bar past 50%.

Hate playing games drunk unless it's with friends having a laugh. My friends could never beat me at street fighter so they used to play me when I was drunk and I'd still trounce them. Used to think I was amazing at the game until I went to some of the irish fighting game communities meet ups and found out how to actually play the game! Had a few meet ups with a small retro games community here as well. At the first one I got pretty drunk and they made me play toki. Got a good laugh out of that especially when I found out you couldn't credit feed the final level. At the one in my place I made them play the saturn cho aniki to freak them out. As for gaming while stoned, I'm not a stoner but my brother is. He got baked out of his mind once and I stuck on Gitaroo Man and he couldn't handle it, he had to leave the room. Another time on Christmas there was a load of us playing bomberman 93 on the Wii and my brother was again baked out of his mind and he couldn't handle the repetitive music when he got paranoid, said it was scaring him  |

I don't have too many gaming related stories. I had a college roommate that was seriously good at like...every game. As an example, he mastered playing Samba de Amigo with his feet (taping the maracas to them). I forget which ones, but he wrote some strategy guides for Bradygames, which is how he paid for stuff, and he just kind of got a job as a game producer at that place that did Section 8 because of his reputation playing RTS games. Anyway, to the point. My other roommates and me got him to do a shot every time he played a round of Soul Calibur and/or MVC2, but he kept beating the shit out of us until he had something like a fifth of Jack Daniels and ralphed all over the living room. The end.
I tend to try to see how well I can control myself when I'm drunk and playing games. The problem is that if I keep ramping it up I get to the point where I'm either puking or so dizzy that I'm going to puke. Also, I'm seriously obnoxious when drunk. Recently got tore up while watching Snarboo's livestream and I started doing a half-assed Irish accent and couldn't get unstuck.

Fond of drinking and smoking- but both put me right off gaming to be perfectly honest. I just lose all focus and interest- though one time when I was 18 I tore through the original Tenchu just to prove an ex-friend that I could.

I played a drinking game with my friend Brian once. It was the Resident Evil 4 Headshot game. Whenever he got a headshot, I took a shot. It ended very badly for me.
There was also the Fatal Fury/World Heroes drinking game, where I drank heavily while playing Fatal Fury and World Heroes. Similarly, it went south quickly.

He got baked out of his mind once and I stuck on Gitaroo Man and he couldn't handle it, he had to leave the room. Even without being drunk or stoned I can't handle Quitaroo Man either. It's too @#$%^&* hard for me to the point I want to smash my joypad.  Kinda ironic for a person like me which can handle Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan even to the Very Hard Mode, huh? (Note that both games are from the same creators) |
