Isn't the SNES port of SFA2 reputed to be a bit...buggy? =P YEEEEEEAAAAAH One of my friends got his preowned PS1 cleaned many years ago at this little pirate shop that used to be in Chatsworth. They found bits of hamburger and food inside it. Also, now I am throwing up a bit in my mouth thinking about what might be lurking in some of my old cartridges. What kind of screwdrivers open up SNES or NES carts?

You need a 3.88mm security bit. (I think that's the correct size.) I think the Nintendo Repair Shop's website sells them.
As for grody customers, oftentimes I'll have people bring in large stacks of DVDs. A few years ago a fellow brought in probably 30 or 40 DVDs and I swear to god he must have farted in each and every one and shut it because goddamn plastic should not (can not?) create that kind of rank stench.

Let's not open that can of worms... literally, lol. I have some imported old Super Famicom games.. God knows where they've been. Maybe poisonous japanese spiderbabies lurk within. I realize I'm probably more suspicious about stuff that's been around the globe and back, but there could easily be gross stuff hiding in old scandinavian games too. If I was a roach, I'd be hiding in a gaming console too. Cause it's a cool place to live.

In my experience import carts tend to be in better shape. There does seem to be a higher standard of quality for stuff that would be sold overseas.

JP used items are usually held to a much, much, MUCH higher standard than their American counterparts. At least, that's always been my experience.

That is DISGUSTING. I wonder how the roaches even got inside the cart? And why the dismembered limbs? Maybe a roach massacre took place inside it back in the 90's. I always thought roaches were kinda too big to get inside a cart. I guess they could get in through the bottom where the cart plugs into the SNES, but still, there are many questions to be asked about this particular case. Thankfully, most of my carts with the exception of GBA games were bought in the 90s, and new. So if there's any bugs in them, it would be my own fault, and I'd be the one looking to pass them off to some poor sucker.

well, maybe some eggs kinda rolled into the cart and the roaches were actually born inside it. *throws up a little*. The dismemberment might have happened when the roaches died and.. dunno.. dried up. Then the cart was tossed back and forth through the years by careless children, hence the roaches ending up in pieces.
Not feeling too well now.

Have you ever seen what a roach egg looks like? It's almost as gross as the actual creature.

What I'm wondering is if the SFA2 cart still actually works.

What I'm wondering is if the SFA2 cart still actually works. I'll let you know tomorrow. As an aside, following is a list of things I've found in games and game cases: - Marijuana (not much, only a small leaf, but I know what pot looks like) - Roach parts (as you have seen) - Spiders (alive to dead ratio 3:2) - Insect Eggs - Sand - Halo fan art (I'll get a picture of this tomorow) - Sonic fanart (drawn on the inside of the case of a copy of Sonic Heroes -- depicted a crude Sonic holding hands and possibly kissing a pink creature I assume to be Amy Rose, with what appeared to be Tails off to the side) - $20 - okay, this one wasn't me, but I have it on good authority that this actually happened. A customer purchased some random PS2 game (I can't remember which one) and found a $20 bill tucked into the manual just minutes after purchase.* - Manuals for unrelated products - DVD player manuals, PC game manuals in console boxes, I even found a notepad lined for "Waste Disposal Maintenance Chart" in a PS3 game I bought the other day, tucked behind the manual. *i bet you're looking through all your manuals right now, aren't you

It makes me shudder to consider what's inside the used carts I've bought on eBay. Surprisingly, I haven't seen a single dead bug inside a case or anything. Thankfully, I've been buying brand new since the PS2 era.

I would probably shit myself if I found a live spider in... anything I wasn't expect a spider in. A dead one would elicit a yelp and a leap.
