My favorite English-language voice-actress, PERIOD, is Kath Soucie. She's been in only a small handful of video games (and a crapton of cartoons!), but her voice is just so powerful and commanding, it's awesome!
Also a big fan of Taliesin Jaffe, but more for his anime work than his video game work. His VDR work for R.O.D. the TV was incredible, and I still say that show has the best English dub of any anime I've ever watched.

I'll see your David Hayter and raise you a Lori Alan. Gideon Emery and Keith Ferguson were amazing in FFXII, as well.

Most of mine are LucasArts guys:
-Nick Jameson - the original voice of Max. I didn't like the guy in the cartoon, and while the guy that did most of the Telltale games is decent, he just isn't the same without that vaguely Brooklyn-ish accent. According to IMDB he actually played a role in the TV show 24, even. I could swear he did the voice of Hoagie in Day of the Tentacle, but I can't find anything backing that up at the moment.
-Roy Conrad. Ben from Full Throttle.
-Tony Plana. Manny from Grim Fandango. Also became the dad in the US version of Ugly Betty.
-Gary Owens. Does he count? He (almost) single handedly made Space Quest IV as awesome as it is.

Steve Blum, Nolan North, and Jennifer Hale are the somewhat obvious answers. Though I'm also a fan of Johnny Yong Bosch and Cam Clarke. =P

- Troy Baker - Loved him as Kanji in Persona 4.
- Vic Mignogna - Call me a fanboy, but he's one of my favorite voice actors out there. I loved his roles in Ouran High Host Club, Full Metal Alchemist, and The Wallflower; he's also great as Junpei Iori in Persona 3.
- Crispin Freeman - I'm mainly listing him because he voices Zelgadis from The Slayers as well as Kyon from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Ooh, ooh. How could I forget? Mary Elizabeth McGlynn! Mostly for her Silent Hill vocal work, but also for being Motoko, in one of the very few dubs I still think are watchable after nearly twenty years.

I just realized that I don't know the names of any voice actors. Huh. Ditto. Although the only one I can remember is one of the voice actors from the post-Twinsanity Crash games (Lex Lang, the voice of Cortex), and I remembered that one thanks to Weasel's post (Nolan North did N. Gin's voice in the last three main games) But, there is one I CAN remember (may not count), and that is Christian Erickson, known by many people as Lance Boyle from the MegaRace series. He is, without a doubt, the best thing to ever come out from 90's games FMV. It's one of the things that made MegaRace the awesomeness that it is, and it's also the only good thing about MegaRace 3. He also did voice acting for several games, mostly from other French developers and publishers, like Cryo (yes, not just MegaRace), Quantic Dream (in all of the company's games. His character on Heavy Rain was modeled after him!), Ubisoft and Microids. He also was the announcer on the Moto Racer series, and his voice in the ranking entry screen sounds A LOT like Lance Boyle. He's awesome. |
