I like boobs, zombies, and chainsaws as much as the next guy, and Suda has great track record, yet this somehow doesn't seem to spark a lot of excitement in me. I must be getting old.

I didn't mention it but the image provided looks a hell of a lot like Dead Rising's 2d stuff.

Oh yay zombies- cause they haven't been done to death! Still though- he says this is going to be less about the gore and more about fun - so give me some fun Suda!

It will all depend if the bosses will be HouseOfTheDead-tastic (my boss standard for zombie games) with the usual attention GHM gives bosses since No More Heroes. At least it looks a lot better then I feared it was gonna be: Source: www.1up.com/news/grasshopper-yuji-naka-tease-projectsAnd this combined with the then trademarked "Lollipop Chainsaw" name, always had me feared that the Kadokawa project would be some dull, super deformed lolita running around with a chainsaw that hacks out rainbows and balloons out of persons or something. But when are they gonna show something from that Kinect project, Codename D (or most possibly called, Diabolical Pitch, which is GHM latest name they owned the rights for). And what happened to Sine Mora the GHM SHMUP?

Hopefully this will be a clever tribute to the cheerleader/splatter-genre, rather than just Oneechanbara with production values. With Suda51 at the wheel it definitely leans toward the former.
It will be vulgar though, that's for sure.

Suda51 has yet to disappoint me on any of his games I've bought. Definitely need to pick this and Shadows of the Damned up. Glad that the general consensus for SotD in this thread seems to be positive.

Press triangle to start crying and hope a zombie accidentally walks too close to you so you can instantly kill him.

Day one purchase? Or is it only a day one import?

Day one purchase? Or is it only a day one import? Suda said they already have interest from a Western publisher, so for once I have no fear that this won't be coming outside Japan.

I was under the impression that Suda51 games either sell well or better in Western countries than Japan. He's such a big name you'd really be crazy not to bring his stuff across.

The first No More Heroes sold very well in North America and Europe in particular, but in Japan (at least initially; I don't remember lifetime sales) it only sold 10,000 copies.

So this game's being published by Warner Bros. Too lazy to find the actual press release, so here's NeoGAF: www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=439254The fact that the press release specifically uses the phrase "zombie rock lords" makes my hype level for this game shoot up about fifteen levels.
