I was definitely not expecting Warner Bros. to be publishing this game. I'm all for it though, if they actually advertise it.

Cool, James Gunn is the writer on this.
He's got a spotty record and is considered box office poison, but I really enjoyed Slither, PG Porn, and Super. This game should be a good fit for him.

So the trailer tells me it is basically Oneechabara with good graphics and Suda 51 weirdness.

It could look worse I guess - the trailer put a couple of things on display, the lead characters voice is going to be more annoying than originally expected and the animation looks choppy in a few places.

I don't know that I want to watch the trailer. I want to be on media blackout for stuff regarding what will be in the actual game! I guess this means I should abandon my own thread.

So this James Gunn guy whose working on this game has a nice splatter horror resume.
Slither, Scream Queens, some Troma films, and the Dawn of the Dead remake. Definitely interested to see where this will go.

Zombie rock lords yeah, that's what Im waiting for.
I hate that Lollipop tune though, wish they went for My Boy Lollipop by Millie Smalls if they want popular lollipop song instead (horrible ska-pop tune but at least it's Ska you know.. or the original R&B version of Barbie Gaye)

I just had a live presentation of this yesterday with some guy from WB and Akira Yamaoka (Suda was supposed to come, but he didn't make it, so the Killer 7 in my bag went unused as I couldn't get my autograph :-\) and I gotta say: Wow.
Me and a colleague/friend of mine were laughing half the time. I'm not sure if the standard fights will offer enough (gameplay) variety in the long run, but they're stylish enough to possibly make up for that and the boss fights might be pure awesomeness judging by a fight against a zombie punk.

To be honest I've never played NMH, so I can't really comment on how standard battles compare, but boss battles certainly go in a similar direction.
