R-Type is still awesome, one of the best STGs ever.
Holy shit that first stage boss is unbelievable. I get chills when he shows up.

The only one of these that I need to get is R-Type Command 2 but I think I'll get it on UMD. I hope someone puts forth the effort to fan translate it because I dig its quirkiness. I can't wait until PSP fan translations start rolling out because I know there's some cool shit out there that we will never get.

me too ): I guess this must mean the rights have been sold off though, probably to Granzella (Kujo's company) - Irem isn't going out of business just yet, and they wouldn't withdraw all their games from PSN if they still had the rights to sell them.
Hopefully though whichever company has bought Irem's IP is one that both cares about it and has the money to do something with it - if some international megacorp bought it they'd probably put out a lazy cash-in R-Type game on the iPhone and then forget all about it. and if a tiny indie dev bought it they might have tons of passion but no resources, and they'd put out a lovingly made R-Type game on the iPhone and then go out of business.
I guess what I want is for it to go to a company big enough to be able to make a new Steambot Chronicles and Zettai Zetsumei Toshi, but not so big that they don't want to. is that too much to ask? (probably)

A bump for this because the Two Psp games on PSN on the UK market place by Irem now say they are published by them. Both was £7.99 and are now £23.99 as well.
The original Publishers name has disapared from Metal Slug XX and now said it is published by SNK.
