Maybe I'm thinking of Area 6, but I was referring to "that guy," who was the first (kind of only) difficult boss you faced.

Given the current tie, I'm debating on how to handle a tie breaker. We could push the vote back another day, have the first person who voted for the losing game change their vote, or simply wait until a tie breaking vote is cast.

Personally I'd suggest a single-day run-off vote, myself.

Consider this a tiebreaking vote for Wonder Project J.

OK, so, after an hour's worth of gameplay, I've got some advice:
- Never, ever, go near the well. I mean it. ...OK, fine. Save first. - If Pino has trouble doing something, no matter how many times you get him to do it, one of his stats might be too low. - Don't feed Pino-Arino defective computer chips. This might sound like it'd be obvious, but you shouldn't. Really.
This is an interesting game. It's almost a little like Pac-Man 2, with an actual narrative. It's kind of dark, too, with how many people you find saying "No, seriously guys, FUCK robots." It's not always clear what you're supposed to be doing, and getting Pino-Arino to not be an asshole isn't always easy, either. Still, can't wait to see where people go with this!

Trying to accurately click on anything in this game is a nightmare.

Gonna play this on the actual hardware. Just eBay'd up a SNES mouse.

Gonna play this on the actual hardware. Just eBay'd up a SNES mouse. Are you certain the mouse actually works? We couldn't get it operating on the attempts yesterday - but maybe it works on the actual hardware? Incidentally, be warned everyone - Pino can activate things himself, so keep a close watch on him. You can also increase the pointer speed and text speed in the options menu.

Trying to accurately click on anything in this game is a nightmare. What gets me is that the cursor actually moves with Tinker, so if she flies up a few pixels too high you can't click on anything. You'd think the cursor box itself would be static while the pointer is animated, but nope!

The game does indeed have mouse support, unless it was mentioned in the manual but removed in the final product, but that's incredibly unlikely. I haven't ever tried it with a mouse (I've never used a SNES mouse period), but I gotta say, I have never, ever had the slightest bit of trouble controlling the game on an actual SNES with a controller. Could it be possible that the emulation is causing some kind of problem?
When I start playing, maybe I should go with the fan patch. I've never played it on anything but the actual hardware.

The pointer floats up and down on its own, that's really badly designed for precision. Though anyone playing with arbitrary directions (like say a Keyboard) will have problems maneuvering around.
*EDIT RE MOUSE CONTROLS* Looks like the mouse has to be plugged in from the start of the game, I don't think it can be enabled once you're already in the gameplay itself.

I can confirm that mouse control in this game is incredibly finicky. I accidentally clicked on the well while trying to praise or scold him and he went into of his own accord despite trying to stop him numerous times.

He'll always wander around a bit on his own, even opening doors and picking up items and such. If he's in a real sour mood, he'll ignore practically all of your orders. It's best to always keep some pudding on hand in case he gets pissed off.
