Retro City Rampage > Shakedown: Hawaii Does Grand Theftendo count as a preceeding name? That is what the game was first title, when I think it was going to be a homebrew NES game. Only later getting the final title when the creator turned it into a game he could actually sell. You got it.

Need for Speed just makes the cut, if you count platform exclusive titles like: Need for Speed: Underground Rivals, NFS: Most Wanted 5-1-0, Need for Speed: Carbon – Own the City and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (Wii) as separate entries. Need for Speed dropped the Road & Track license after the first game, and as far as I am aware, EA has always owned the Need for Speed name. So it doesn't qualify here. It kept the cars licenses, but i don't know how viable that is in terms of "Licensed Game".

'SSE' (side-scrolling exploration) in reference for FPS, RTS etc. Not sure about the 3D ones. "3D Exploration" maybe? I think, i'd have much ties to "Walking Simulator".

Nice catch! I personally couldn't hear the "Typewriter Room" influence It's a clever mixture of the two, i think you can hear fragments of it in the second half of the arrangement, but don't take it for granted. Here's another i posted in Outrun 2006 thread: The middle bit of Yuzo's offering sounds suspiciously similar to Fluke's piece in a sped up form. Or it could be just me.
