The CDs are the hardest thing in the game, besides all that have been said, you will meet a lot of new bosses and some old with some twist.
I got my plat in three weeks of game, have been the only souls I have been able to platinum because I usually get bored of doing the item fetch quests that require to finish the game two and half times.

I guess it depends on the build but at 107 I'm having trouble with some of the harder chalices. There's stuff like shitloads of summoned spiders gang-raping you, etc. Enemies take a lot more damage in the lower chalice dungeons and stuff, and can one- or two-shot you even when built up. Good to know that there is a challenge there. Especially if the spiders are there. The only thing I've found harder about NG+ is that the bosses have a shit ton of HP. When you say you got the worst ending, did you CENSORED Yup, that's the one. I got my plat in three weeks of game, have been the only souls I have been able to platinum because I usually get bored of doing the item fetch quests that require to finish the game two and half times. I cheated and looked up about the dungeons, I've got two more and then at that point I'll have the platinum. I'm probably going to take a break until my next co-op session with a friend, Cursed Pthumeru Defilement is a bitch. Also, the Abhorrent Beast can get fucked, I can't stand that boss (what's ironic is that he's simple with two people, though). Weapons... what bums me out is that I can't really find a secondary trick weapon that comes even close to the damage I can get with the holy blade. Most of the weapons have shitty scaling. I've tried messing around with other stuff, but in the end it's not really worth it (which is a shame, because I really like using the axe, and to a lesser extent, the wheel).

I'm still using the axe as my main with the holy blade as my secondary. Even though the HB is stronger, especially with the skill scaling, I find the axe's speed to be much more accommodating to the games mechanics. I'm leveling up the wheel and Burial Blade as well. Not sure which I want use yet. Joseph Joestar How does co-op work in the chalice dungeons? Does the glyph password have to be used?

If you want to co-op with a specific person, you set the player password for your profile and then have the other person set theirs to the same one. From here go to the gravestone with the dungeon you want to do together. You need to select the option to make the dungeon public. This will give you a glyph password for that particular dungeon. Your friend who you want to play with will need to go to one of their empty gravestones, do the chalice glyph search, and put in that glyph code to open the same dungeon as you. This does mean they must have at some point created a chalice dungeon of the exact same type so they can access it (i.e. Lower Ailing Loran, Central Pthumeru).
Once you have set this up, you both go to the same dungeon and the same layer. Once there you whomever is going to go to the host's dungeon use the Small Resonant Bell. once they do, have the player who wants to summon them use the Beckoning Bell to bring them there. The person using the Beckoning Bell must not have beaten the layer they are on in order to summon someone to them. You'll stay together until someone dies or you beat the layer boss.

Is that the only way? No random co-op? Only curious because of the time that I regularly play(5AM eastern time), I'm sure no one I could play with is available.

Random co-op out in the main game world is fairly easy. Don't set up a password and just use your Small Resonant Bell, or likewise use a Beckoning Bell. You can get into other people's games or bring them to yours all over, lasting until either one of you dies or you beat a boss. Often you can farm bosses for echoes and insight by using a Small Resonant Bell near boss doors if you want to group up as there is usually people looking for help on bosses.
In chalice dungeons it seems to be a bit harder. You can look up the more popular glyph codes and go to those dungeons looking for people to play with, but it seems like you can only get help and help others if you are using the same glyph code. The Short Root Chalice available at the insight vendor after the latest patch can be used on the first gravestone to search for random dungeons other people have already set up, although it won't always be clear if it is one still being used by someone or if it is just sitting unused on someone's gravestone.
Now if you're looking to invade other dungeons, that seems to be a lot easier, but I do not know of a way to just randomly hook up with players in their dungeons for co-op without actually using the corresponding glyph code either via a search or through the Short Root Chalice.

Nothing like waiting 5-10 minutes for summon to show up just to get killed the second you walk through the fog gate. This defiled chalice is ridiculous.

Went Platinum today.
While the Souls games offer more challenge and variety, this one was just too fun to put down.

I hate having half health though. Thanks. The defiled dungeon was the toughest part of the game really. Amygdala was pretty frustrating. I had 40 vitality as well as +15% HP from runes and it still one hits you towards the end of the fight. Pthumerian Queens dungeon was surprisingly easy though as there are no health penalties. And luckily I saved the 'bad' ending as my final trophy, so it basically amounted to a mic drop to get the platinum.

I just got platinum yesterday - what's sad is that I was having a hard time with the Keeper of the Old Lords - the other two bosses I was able to beat pretty easily. The main problem I was having was that I think I had burn-out from having gone through the different dungeons so many times. Special thanks to TheGunheart, I wouldn't have tried the Isz dungeon (or gotten the super easy experience) if not for him.

I was on the verge of burning out on the dungeons while collecting ritual items to create them. Co-op was crucial with those dungeons/bosses. I did have fun in that regard, but a lot them reminded me of mindlessly fighting though caves and tombs from Elder Scrolls for rewards that had no real use in the game.

I had lent the game out over a month whilst burying myself in MKX but I got it back and have now reached the end game. Got 3 umbilibal chords, the hunter's dream is burning and I've decided it is time to tackle the chalice dungeons. So far...ugh these are pretty samey ¬_¬ I think I might start using co-op now. So far I've only really experienced being invaded.

Bring on the Old Hunters. I've got a while until I can utilize the DLC though. I stopped after my 3rd NG+

Finally started this game. Jesus Christ, how do you play Dark Souls without a goddamn shield?
