Why two copies? Selling the other one later for extra buck? Nah, I won't sell the other. Just want an "unhandled" copy of two very special games. Completed part 1 in less than a day, quite a ride. The completionist in me wants to get a Pure Platinum on every level and difficulty, but I just don't have the patience anymore. I have yet to open Bayonetta 2.

Is both games being included a limited time thing? Because, I liked DMC and I've been wanting to actually play a game like that again. With an inch of difficulty perhaps this time.

So wait, how do I stop these combo breaker counterattacks some enemies do? Like I hit them twice and they do uninterruptable attack so I have to dodge into witch time and they keep doing that until I kill it.

EU has it as a special edition, but NA is every copy. If you have to wait a long time before buying this game, look out for the "game included" logo on the front if you see it in stores.

They can't combo break you from behind.

They can't combo break you from behind. I'll have to try that. I cleared chapter 7 last night after dying to that masked fucker 18 times. I'm glad I'm playing on Hard but it's still frustrating because I don't feel like I have a good handle on how I should have been fighting him. It felt like he would arbitrarily recover sometimes during my combos and sometimes he wouldn't, compounded with how he uses combo breakers too and that he has and lot of different attacks you can't just autopilot around...yeah that was a hard boss.

Played through basically all of bayo 1 last night. Runs fantastic on wii u, but I forgot how awful awful awful I was at this game. Still love it though, and looking forward to playing the sequel some time this week/end. Probably will be replaying both of them til I get a bit better.

I beat this yesterday and it was great. I missed one weapon I need to go back and get and I want to buy that 10 million halo item so that'll probably take a while to grind for. I like these Witch Trials that unlock after beating the game, they're a good test for getting better at it.

Ha, I also completed the game yesterday! This is absolutely the best, most spectacular and beautiful Japanese action game I have ever played. Personally, I regard it as the best console game of the year. Some people regard part 1 as child's play in comparison, but I won't go that far, because part 1 remains also a mighty impressive and spectacular game.

Picked this up today, because. And played the prologue of the first game, and it feels really chaotic. Like I'm still not a hundred percent sure how to do anything in particular. Like the little slam attack works once in awhile, and I start spraying bullets when I don't mean to. But I'm looking forward to figuring it out. I got silver! Which I hope isn't the bottom rank. I did put some thought into my combos. But, I keep thinking I can knock enemies out of an attack, and then I get hit.

Yeah, I know what you mean; it's really confusing in the beginning because there's a lot of things happening on-screen, but after a while you'll develop a certain feeling for it...

It certainly is getting spectacular reviews across the board. Might really be considered GOTY on many end of year lists. Which is good for the Wii U IMO.

I keep thinking I can knock enemies out of an attack, and then I get hit. You want enemies to attack you so that you can activate Witch Time. To avoid dropping your combo when dodging, learn how to use dodge offset. This technique allows you to smoothly continue your current combo after a dodge, but the game never actually tells you how to do it. It's the single most important thing to learn in the game, and will improve your offense (and by extension, your combo scores) tremendously. Here's a pretty good video tutorial on what dodge offset is and how to do it:

Well, thats useful info, Feynman. The only thing is I realize that witch time is good, I still feel like I want to hit enemies out of attacks. For some reason it's ingrained. Was that possible in DMC?

I only played the demo yet, but from the first minute the game feels like a classic Sega game in the best way. I suppose I'll get the game sooner or later. I also only ever played the demo of the first but could't get really warm with it, but this time I got immediately hooked by the action. Though I suppose I'm not playing it right yet^^' There's quite a discrepancy between the damage I deal and the damage I suffer. BTW can someone tell me the name of the track that plays during the demo stage?
