One of my friends recently revealed that she hasn't shaved her armpits in three years. There's a difference between fighting for women to have equal rights and just being grody because you're lazy.

She was originally going to be topless for the entire game and have an elaborate snake tattoo on her breasts. The line "when you see the snake dance the moment of your death is near" was meant to refer to her breasts bouncing around while she runs around stabbing/shooting people on the battlefield. Wow, that's... kind of ridiculous. That just doesn't seem to fit how the Boss is in the final game. One of my friends recently revealed that she hasn't shaved her armpits in three years. There's a difference between fighting for women to have equal rights and just being grody because you're lazy. Maybe she just doesn't like having shaved armpits? There's nothing gross about that, so long as she showers.

People are free to look however they want, but I'm of the mind that women shouldn't look like they have Buckwheat in a headlock. In all fairness, though, I've been shaving my armpits for well over a decade now. Body hair just seems gross to me.

I shave my body hair too I just don't think it's bad if other people don't; people should feel free to do whatever they want with their own bodies. ...anyways. Part of me hopes that all of the previous Metal Gear games will get ported to Steam. I definitely plan on getting MGSV on Steam at some point, but in particular I'm hoping for Peace Walker, which I've never played. And it would be nice to be able to replay MGS3 on the PC.

Well, I do recall hearing at some point that Kojima wanted all of the members of the B&B Corps to be completely naked outside of their mechanical exo skeletons.

The design for their "plug suits" is still pretty dumb. They look like they're wearing thigh high stockings which is just...why?

That's really where I draw the line. You don't have to shave your legs or your arms AFAIC, but blagh... Okay, facial hair is a deal killer too, but that's because I'm just jealous I can't grow a mustache. Right, Actually, now thinking about it, I wonder if Eva sprang out of letting Kojima have his weird ideas towards female characters. To let some pressure off the valve for a phrase I'm immediately sad I just typed. Really what that game did best was that it did actually feel like playing a spy movie. Well, it did everything best, but considering that time was super about making video games into movies, it did a damn fine job. It also finally gave that whole series a focal point. I forget where I read it, but some person just kind of postulated that the whole series was actually about Big Boss and Zero trying to interpret The Boss's ideals. And that's not all that bad. I haven't played Peace Walker, because I don't remember Major Zero being so important after 3. So I don't agree with it fully. But I like how this whole alternate history came out because one man believed in one women's philosophy. That stroke made the ramblings of a mad man carry a lot of weight. Okay so I looked it up again and I always forget that the original Patriots were the Operation Snake Eater personnel. And the whole idea of the series being a fight between Zero and Big Boss makes a hell of a lot more sense.

All of the best scenes in MGS4 were in the trailers, too, so that was one hell of a fuck you for people who actually played the game.

I enjoyed MGS4, but it's probably not my favorite story in the series. Parts of it did feel more like fan-service than an actual interesting story. The gameplay in the first two chapters was fucking awesome though.

That's the real crime! Even with the nonsense story, the game itself had sooooo much potential. You just got so LITTLE of it. The first, second, and fourth acts showed a hell of a lot of potential...had the game been like three times as long, gameplay-wise.

Act 3 and the final battle of Act 5 were by far the most tedious things about MGS4. I swear I had to repeat the final boss so damn many times...

Same here. It's a million times worse on The Boss Extreme, too.

I always play these on a step below normal. So I don't breeze through them, but I get to play them like a movie. Because having to redo a boss fight 12 times really throws my immersion.
And I'd have like MGS4 so much had I not been so damn bored most of the time. That game was far too heavy on cutscenes. I can stomach a stupid story too. And well really I can jive with the idea of missed potential. I got into the series right about when MGS4 came out, so I didn't really follow it too closely. But, the game feels all over the place. There are moments where I'm sitting all excited to see how everything plays out. Then Drebin shows up and whoosh all out the window. Then some more things happen and I'm wracking my brain trying to piece how it all comes together, and then I sit through a 50 minute cutscene of nothing.
