I love her. Probably the best female character in Rival School - United by Fate. And of course the most badass. Then again what did you expected from a girl that has Daigo as her older brother? I appreciate you specifying United by Fate as I was about to argue with you about how Zaki is way cooler. That's why I specified the first game since I haven't played Project Justice so much (I never had a Dreamcast and as a noob I haven't managed to run a Dreamcast emulator yet althought now I finally have a PC that can run a Dreamcast emulator better). I don't know many details about Zaki's background story but I'll agree that she's very cool. Main reason is her unique, awesome ninja-like female delinquent style without being sexualized, lolified or moefied.

If anything, I'm just pissed that we still live in an age where developers still make pointless regional differences, might have made sense in the 90's, but there's not too much point to do it no other than "We must not piss some people on the internet off" The creator was probably joking as an answer to all this stupid, negative reaction. We're still waiting for Sakurai's Twitter joke about including Shrek as a DLC character as an aswer to Shrek meme at Super Smash Bros message boards (don't ask). tame a wild lion without even f
You'd think after about 2 or 3 years of that Shrek meme, people would have gotten tired of it by now

I think Shaheen's design is pretty solid, and I like that his design it's a perfect balance between cool and practical. That said, I wait to see him in action...

This only proves that the outcry against Chloe wasn't the raw sexualization but rather the otaku pandering. Also, I'm fairly certain Zafina's nationality was a subject of debate and was only revealed to be Egyptian after the fact.

And nobody complain for being so out of place even for a Tekken game? He looks more like a character from a weapon fighting game like Soul Calibur. Yeah, I know that Yoshimitsu also has a sword but at least he's more alien-looking and he suits perfectly along with the other weirdos.

The Lawerence of Arabia headwear just sits funny with me. But, yeah he looks cool. Be the first Tekken character that looked appealing to me aside from the Kangaroo and the Bear.

If you take away the sword and the blue capelet he's basically in street clothes so I'm not seeing what the big deal is.

He does look more like a Soul Calibur person than Tekken to me, but I think he's got a good design.

But from where I'm standing it looks like the equivalent of when in animu you have all the Americans portrayed as cowboys that live in New York. I mean there's still the chance that he's gonna say shit like "may the jackals feast upon your bones and the bones of your unborn children" and in that case yes, why yes it's offensive.

I know Japan is no bastion of multi-culti sensitivity, but somehow I doubt they're going to give the character the Team America "Durqa Durqa" treatment. Now, being a fighting game, he isn't exactly going to have a deep backstory, but I'm fairly confident they won't Team America-ize him, heh. He's already dressed in more "normal" clothing than Siba from Fighters MEGAMiX was (admittedly, this could be due to Tekken 7 being on much more powerful hardware).
