Oh come on people, don't be so stuck up, sure memes may be a little tired in the present, but don't act like they didn't provide plenty of laughs back in the day. Me I'm fond of just about any meme from the 2006/2007 era, I also love all those old YTMND "fads", YTMND is a site that I feel like I'm the only person on Earth who remembers, but that site provided just about the most fun I've ever had on the internet. YTMND screwed up my mind when I was in, like, 6th grade. No joke. I had no idea who Hitler was, so I made tons of crappy YTMNDs based on him back in the day. Then I remember trying to make a Game-Maker-based sequel to Atari's Adventure with a swastika in it... My dad immediately said "Take it out" and proceeded to scold me. I was a terrible child. Thanks, Internet. Hahahaha, I was 16 when I discovered YTMND so thankfully I knew who Hitler was, but the thought of someone first learning about him through YTMND is pretty hilarious to me. Anyway, boy does it warm the cockles of my heart to see that I'm NOT the only one who remembers YTMND, the thing about that site during it's golden age that I think set it apart from any other website I've ever seen is it was first and foremost all about just having fun, not trying to prove a point, make a statement or anything beyond making you laugh, in this day and age where every website has it's subset of political attitudes, be they "MRAs" or "SJWs" or whatever, the carefree attitude of YTMND is sorely missed.

I think the funniest part is that most people won't know of or remember where it got its name from. God, that was a shitty movie.

I never got into YTMND; it always bothered me how sound clips from that site seemed to be a million times louder than the volume for any other site/program I used on my computer, so I tried to avoid clicking on their links as much as possible. I didn't want to have to keep raising and lowering my volume constantly to keep up with it.

I would like to say that I hate memes.
I would really like to say it.
But the sad truth is that a couple days ago I responded to a conspiracy theorist saying that some famous italian conspiracy nut is actually an undercover government agent with a "Yo dawg,I heard you like conspiracies so we put a conspiracy in your conspiracy so you can plot while you plot."
Which makes me a terrible person. Not as terrible as the aforementioned conspiratard, but still...

I will also admit to finding "Chuck Norris facts" funny when they were new, I think it helps that Chuck Norris is literally the cheesiest human being who's ever lived.

Couldn't really get into the Chuck Norris version since I'd seen the Vin Diesel one first. The idea was amusing enough, though.

I remember during my senior year in high school (07), not knowing what YTMND was from. In English class we had to watch Finding Forrester for some reason. I slept through most of it but remember being awake when he said that and realized "So that's what that's from".

They it put him back into the public mind and now he spends his time bashing gays. Memes can be a force of unexpected evil.

I used to be crazy about those viral IOSYS songs, especially FOE! To No Souguu (the F.O.E song) and Marisa Stole the Precious Thing. The funniest thing here was how IOSYS became my gateway to Etrian Odyssey and Touhou.

My favorite was: In the late 80's, while he was playing Arkanoid, Chuck Norris accidentally broke the Berlin Wall.

I'm glad they probably inspired those Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World commercials. Because they are my favorite.

Not really any of them.
Unless ones that were extremely limited to a small place counts.
During the Vancouver Olympics, a hockey board I post on briefly had "THIS IS OUTHOUSE!", which came about due to someone mistyping "THIS IS OUR HOUSE". In an even smaller subset of that board, there was Jozin z Bazin.

I don't know if it counts as a meme but I will never fed up this one:
Putting aside that, I hate new generation kids that know about Star Fox 64 only because of the memes.
