If they want to make "Kids/Teens react to old stuff" so badly, how about make them try crappy stuff that used to be popular like cassette tapes computers which took an eternity to load games that looked so awful compared to 8bit home consoles? Cheezy FMV games for Sega CD? Atari 2600 port of Pac-Man? That would be more interesting. And please try it with random kids instead of paid actors.

Cheezy FMV games for Sega CD? Atari 2600 port of Pac-Man? They made them play on a 70s computer. I both love and hate this webshow, it is nice to see kids exposed to older things but I didn't realize how little they may know or how much today's technology has changed. These guys are the ones growing up with these F2P messes and overly accessible games and to them this is the normal. The values we learn here is what scares me sometimes. And if you didn't have enough of these kids, they have a Nickelodeon show. I wish they let them pick a stage, the timing on Guts Man's stage remains one of the toughest I played on the NES games.

Floppy disk computers were fine.

Mistook your question then. I think that is about the only computer stuff they used. ET would probably be the only famous bad game that could show up.

We'll never understand each other. That being said, the snowflake/cupcake kids today are entitled little retards and society is going to go to shit. Well, moreso. This is like the 300th time I've had to tell you how much I love you. LOL. I love you too, sis. I'm glad that you get me.

No, these reactions are correct. The first game is actually that tricky. The only reason I can beat any of these levels is experience. I definitely did that badly when I first played the game too. There's a lot of "OMFG bullshit!" moments from common enemies. It's difficult for sure, but I don't see how it's misleading in the way these kids imply. Anyone should be able to deduce that you don't jump on spikes, and seeing if the B button does is just logical for someone that's played any video game.

I love these videos; I find it immensely entertaining to see kids try to wrap their heads around stuff I played as a kid.

I enjoy the kids ones. Especially, that computer one. Stuff I just kind of brute forced my way through, and things I take for granted, like floppy drives or 2D graphics.

Several years ago, there was a thread at cheapassgamer.com about how the OP had a young nephew and friend visiting, and they wanted to play CoD on his PS3. He told them they could play, but only after beating one level of Mega Man 9. They could not do it.

I haven't watched the video (I'm sick of the react videos, the gimmick gets old super quick) but....who doesn't have a hard time with MegaMan games when you 1st play them? Most of the time these videos show the kids playing a game for the 1st time ever and usually only for a few minutes.

It's hard to judge these as someone video game bar was set by games like Mega Man as opposed to kids who were brought up the Wii.

Man even I can figure out how to get through Mega Man. And I'm dumb enough to think that people won't keep bringing up things that just cause drama when they keep doing so before, coughcoughGGcoughcough.
Wait, would this post count as bringing up things that just cause drama?

ding ding ding Teens [are paid] to [over]react to [thing from the childhood of 20something adult viewers] We'll never understand each other. That being said, the snowflake/cupcake kids today are entitled little retards and society is going to go to shit. Well, moreso. On the plus side, kids these days are less racist, less homophobic and less willing to jump into war just because they're told to. There's good and bad with everything.
