AAAAnyway, that Abel is Fench, not Swiss, alas. Is there even one Swiss chara in a fighting game? Puella Marionette from Toshinden 4 is Swiss.

Unrelated, but I bet there's a lot of people who would be shocked if you told them they made any Battle Arena Toshinden games beyond the original.
...I think one of them had an evil Micheal Jackson expy.

Toshinden gets the award for the absolute dumbest title for a fighting game: Battle Arena Toshinden URA.

Ugh, ye gods. I hate when people start trying to shoehorn fan-fic/fan theories into storylines, even when it's a fairly unimportant storyline. Or worse still, if there's a "fan tribute" that somehow doesn't get C&D'd, people take it as a tacit acceptance of the fan-plot as canon... ... But... I love "Fifty Shades of Guile"! It is not time-wasting fan wankery at all! "He tied me down, and blindfolded me. Before the darkness I recognized the red and white stripes and the blue field of the blindfold." "I want to you to know that I shouldn't do this" He said with a smile and thumbs up, "I'm a family man" I heard the gears rotating, and an electric motor humming too life. He began again, "This one's called the Sonic Boom." The motor began humming louder. "You'll like this one. It goes with everything."

I think it was Bon Jovi who sung:
I wanna Klaid you down in the bed of Roses For all night I sleep on Sakura...

In an F-16?"

VS fighters are created with the versus gameplay in mind. Sequels will bring back popular characters that played well. Not the ones that survived based on the in-game story. I dunno... "Dural and Prejudice" got me very invested in that protagpnist... I think what actually comes out of this thread is that, yes, Fighting games benefit from having their own universe, including stories and chara motivations which are usually completely idiotic, but that's not very important as long as those storylines are fun, funny and full of character. In the end, we all know about the Mishima family' fracked-up fathers and sons, and that's stupid but stupid fun. So yeah, I find it's a good thing we Have games like Dead or Alive Dimensions - or DOA 5 also, which offer a main mode which IS a convoluted story; some parts of those stories stick, and they help You bond with the Fighter you're using. -On a more personal note, we learned that there are indeed Swiss characters in Fighting games, and that's what we must never forget about this thread.
