Has anybody hear played Ridiculous Fishing (on Android, maybe iOS)? I've heard it's pretty good, but aside from random Humble mobile bundles and Amazon's free app of the days, I don't really touch phone games, much less premium ones.

Ridiculous Fishing is a pretty decent little timewaster. It's nothing special; a tilt-driven arcade game that plays in more-or-less 30-second sessions, with an upgrade shop to spend your in-game earnings on. No in-app purchases, no ads. If you want a taste of what it's like, try Radical Fishing, the prequel/prototype Flash game (sorry about the video ads, I can't find a version without them!).

I got Puzzle and Dragons, but I haven't played it much. It's a simple little match-three puzzler, but the graphics and monster design are gorgeous. @_@

The overlooked puzzle game LIT for Wii by Wayforward returns re-imagined as a free game (no microtransactions, just a few advertisements you can get rid of by turning off the wi-fi at your phone) for Android and iOS. I haven't played the original for Wii (although I have heard good comments about it) but the new one is quite good. From the best Android games I have played. Now if only they release Mighty Switch Force - Hose It Down for Android... play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wayforward.lit

Why do we not talk about this more often? I've got tons of space on my phone and want to put some games on there, but looking through the Play Store leaves me feeling kind of confused. I don't know which games are any good and which are total crap. There are a few I've downloaded and enjoyed but all in all I dunno what's what. So why don't we talk about some good games for mobile platforms?
I've got Seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead. It's not a very good port but I'm amazed it works as well as it does. Nothing seems to be cut out so far.
Marvel Contest of Champions is repetitive but it's fun in short bursts and for a fighter scrub like me it's easy enough to git gud.
Not quite as fond of the Nethrealm Studios fighters. Mortal Kombat X and Injustice look great and are fun, but the engine is kinda sluggish.

I end up in this dilemma all the time. Whenever I have downtime that would be perfect for a small gaming session, I listen to music instead. I think it has to do with the lackluster controls. Even games that are made for the touchscreen seem to fumble with it. It's made a tiny bit more concerning by the fact that, for a time, smartphone games were the only thing I played. I don't remember why or even what games, though.
I've had a hankering for a simple Dungeon Master type of game for the phone. You know, simple first person dungeon crawling with slight emphasis on touch controls. Unfortunately, searching through the Play Store for this is a hassle. It gives me top-down roguelikes instead. Anybody aware of something at least vaguely similar to what I'm looking for? It would be much appreciated.

The only time I'd want to play a mobile game is on the subway, when going to work. Usually I opt to just sit and stare at the people on the train though.

I found a mobile game called Clash of Cuties and the start screen music is just outright stolen in poor quality from the Queens Blade soundtrack. Also, a few characters have designs ripped right from Queens Blade characters.
I expect entertaining thing.
Also got that bear word game thing, Alphabear, and I'm really enjoying that.

There is a multi-page list with video reviews, of my best of best of list, and we are waiting for someone to do a second list one day. You'll find very, very good games in that list, in all genres.
