Since some members here have a liking for anthropomorphic animals (including myself), I decided to open a thread for this movie that is going to be released on theaters soon:
This is the first time in my life I am hyped about a 3D animated Disney movie (even from Pixar the only ones I really liked are Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Wall-E). And as it was expected, all anthro fans of the world are hyped as hell and the internet is already full of fanarts. But since all my friends hate anthros, seems I am going to watch it by myself. And more specific, to late movie time (from 22:00 and after) to avoid noisy, annoying kids. I already have bad memories from Pokemon Movie 1 and Spirited Away with brats that wouldn't shut their mouths for most of the time.

I recall thinking the rabbit main character was cute. My sister pointed out to me that she's basically a rabbit version of one of the Frozen girls.
Which makes sense, I suppose they're aiming to have a style for their CGI that people can point to and say "oh yea, in house disney!", kinda like you sorta can with Pixar films.
I did feel the godfather reference was strange, I feel it'll fly over kids heads, while I have a hard time believing the current generation of young parents will have seen it. Probably know of it via pop culture, maybe.
Anyway, the rabbit main character is very cute, so I depending on how long it's been since I last went to the cinema and other pending releases, I may very well go and see it.
(I'd still prefer proper animation from Disney, but I think that era is sadly dead *sigh again*)

I'm honestly am not looking forward to Zootopia, as I'm not really fond of anthromorphic animals like those in that film these days. That and it seems Disney's going low just after the fantastic Big Hero 6 (of course the equally fantastic Wreck-it Ralph and the sort of interesting Frozen). But what do I know? Maybe Zootopia might have some surprises in store for me just as Frozen did but right now I'm just...no, just no.
EDIT: I should mention that I do like the Kung Fu Panda series despite having anthro animals in it, as those are one of those exceptions to me.

We have a ton of toys and stuff for this one in my store right now. Guess they may be thinking this'll be another big thing? Personally I think it looks a bit dull.
Either way, no way I'd go see it in theaters since people will probably be showing up in suits.

I find it funny how Disney is so obviously courting furries, but I guess it makes sense since they basically invented them in the first place.
Also, I like anthro characters just fine....I might even say I find them slightly sexy? (slightly) but I don't really consider myself a furry, is that possible? Is it possible to have a mild appreciation without going full on furry?

I'm curious because of the character designs and I want to see how Disney handles a buddy cop film.

Let's not forget that this movie is a sign that the US as we know them are on their way out:

It's obviously a ploy by liberal queer pinko commies to destroy the american way and S̴̙͎̪̠͙T̙͎̬͈͇̔ͣ̂ͬ̿ͭË͚̱̱̼͎̥́͊̑͂ͣ̚A͋̀L̃ͧ̂ ̥͔̮̪͐ͧ̋̀ͨ̆͆O̜̝̦͎̒͟U̻̰͚̘̰̓̿ͤ̉͌̔̚R̮̗͚ͪ̿̆ ̻̞̰͕̙͙ͪ̃͌ͧP̫̳̯̰͙͇ͭ̑̌͊͢ͅŖ͙̗̘̂͌̒E̲͔̜̤ͬͬ̓ͮ̌͒͜C̡̼̳͇̹͎̈Ī̬̐̽͆̽ͪ́O̙ͥ̿̐͌͛U̙̗̼̮͑ͣ̉̚S̵̔̽ͩ ̨ͭ̿̋ͥ̊̐BO͎̪͇͎̖ͦͫ̈͆D̘̳ͩ̓̇̊̍͡Į̪̈̀̿̋̅͌̋L̟͓̙ͥ̔Y̴̗̭͓͍̜͇̹̅͗ͫ ̷͕ͥͧ̃͂͗̚F̝͑̚͠L̴̼͗̓̽̏ͫͯU͚͎ͥ̎̈̏ͯI̟̻̫̯͚͞D͙̘͚̭̰̙͚̓͑ͪ͞Ṣ̜͚͘

I keep finding it weird every discussion I find of this movie goes right to "would you fuck this" when I just see a pretty funny and by the numbers family flick. It's probably going to be pretty successful marketing wise, there's a lot of toy potential.

I mean good lord, the amount of Frozen rule 34 out there is staggering. lol
