Speaking of Night Dive they tried to re-release the NOLF games but no one knows who owns the rights anymore, so it's unlikely to ever happen. Fans have taken it upon themselves to make patched versions that can run on modern hardware available for free, but official re-releases would give these sorely underrated games more attention. And two games I'd file in the "if it hasn't happened by now it probably won't" folder are the Myst style graphic adventures 9: The Last Resort and Obsidian. Now it's certainly not impossible but 9 is probably another case of no one knows who owns the rights as it was produced by Robert De Niro of all people, who probably doesn't even remember the game exists. And in the case of Obsidian it's probably simply too obscure. Of course some unexpected stuff has popped up on GOG over the years so never say never. Obsidian was released on Steam in August 2023.
