Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 2 can't come soon enough! Just one more week... SERIOUSLY?!? I thought its release date wasn't until May for some reason! I must obtain this as soon as humanly possible. Hell, we ALL must do so. ;D

Mines in the mail from amazon. I'm having my doubts that Game Stop's have them in yet. They're pretty unreliable.

I've found stores so unreliable as far as these SNK games go that I in fact order all of mine online.

It's a rip-off to buy them at GameStop anyway. They have an MSRP of 14.99, but GameStop has a policy that they won't sell any brand new release for less than 19.99.

Gamestop took it out of their systems, so they may not carry it anymore. (They did the same for World Heroes Anthology, though that was never in there in the first place.)
I grabbed it at Video Games New York for $20. The closest Game Crazy - the only store nearby that sells it for $15 - is like 45 minutes away, so meh.
This is definitely the best of the anthologies they've put out. Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 is so awesome. I think Alfred's easily playable too but I need to check into it.

Heh in the Japanese manuals they just tell you the cheat codes/requirements for everyone.
I believe in this case you just have to beat the game once on any difficulty and then he's added to the roster screen.

Nope, Alfred is immediately available just by holding down 2 buttons. The only person that needs to be saved is Nightmare Geese in RBFFS, which can be done right after you enter in the code to play as him.

Do the games have blood or semen/milk?

How do you get the special Blue Mary ending for RBS? I hope they didn't take it out...

It was only in the home ports (Saturn/Neo CD) of the game. If these are based off the AES/MVS versions - and other than the arranged soundtracks, I think they are - then it won't be there.
It's a cool little bonus, but just download the song and look at the pictures in the article. That'll give you the gist of it. It's probably up on Youtube somewhere too.

Wait... how exactly do you play as Alfred anyway? I fought and beat him with Terry, but I don't know how to access him. I'll also ask the same thing for Nightmare Geese in RBFFS. So, yeah, I snagged Vol. 2 (along with World Heroes Anthology). Great stuff all around. If anyone wants to challenge me at RBFF2, beware of my Terry, Yamazaki, or Rick. On a side note, there really needs to be a World Heroes article. At the very first, I thought the games were abominable. Then they grew on me in a "so bad that it's good" way, and now... well, I think they're legitimately good fighters. Hardly anywhere near FF or KoF, but the Death Matches in the first two games kicked ass, and the latter two games tuned with the mechanics enough to make them solid fighters. Besides, don't tell me you've never wanted to see a Nazi extendo-cyborg battle a flagrantly homosexual Grigori Rasputin.

Death Match in World Heroes 2 is a ton of fun. I love the Tug-o-War style hit system.

I dunno, World Heroes 1 and 2 are kinda pretty bad. It's around 2 Jet that the fighting system actually became passable.
I'd like to feature one at some point though.

I always felt like the SNES versions of the WH games kinda had a leg up on the Neo Versions just because they seperated Punch and Kick strengths into seperate buttons, instead of the "Hold" Mechanic from the Neo games.
