Next up: A really text-heavy visual novel based on Tetris.

I had so many games I wanted to play in this quarantine time, but Animal Crossing is just demanding too much of my time. I played New Leaf a decent amount, but being able to decide everything and customize so much about your island really makes all the difference. I'm also in that sweet spot where there is enough going on daily and enough new stuff, but it's still relatively early on. The 6th animal is going to move in tomorrow, so that also opens up more freedom in who will move to your island next, I believe. I am getting a little sick of the bunny day event going on right now, though. I've had enough of fishing up eggs. Next up: A really text-heavy visual novel based on Tetris. Maybe a Hatoful Boyfriend-ish take on Tetris could work. I mean, they were planning on doing a film trilogy for Tetris after all. Finished Rusty's real deal baseball. Well finished the story and the challenges that didn't make me want to break the 3ds over my knee... And a few that did. Found it to be a fantastic rhythm action game along the lines of the warioware games. Shame it never got a release in Europe. I really like it's approach to freemium games as well. It's really too bad it never came out in Europe. It's probably one of the 3DS games I'm most interested in.

Honestly for me almost too much is happening in Animal Crossing right now. There is that bunny day event with its two dozen DIY things and six different kinds of eggs that are constently in the way when you are trying to do something else. There's the sakura blossoming with their own dozen way prettier but harder to get DIY projects. And then of course there are the new month's fish/bugs to catch. I felt positively stressed out instead of calmed while playing yesterday.

I don't buy into or even humor any of these AC "horror" theories, but Zipper is seriously a demon inundating everything with eggs!

There's definitely more than meets the eye when it comes to Zipper. Which makes him a little more tolerable, IMO. Honestly for me almost too much is happening in Animal Crossing right now. There's the sakura blossoming with their own dozen way prettier but harder to get DIY projects. And then of course there are the new month's fish/bugs to catch. I felt positively stressed out instead of calmed while playing yesterday. I was a little worried when Zipper told me about having a reward for crafting all bunny day recipes, but I found out pretty quickly the eggs are extremely easy to find. Only thing is I don't know how many recipes I'm still missing, but I think it can't be too many. Bugs and fish are always a bit uncertain for me. I might've missed some stuff in march, but there's no way of knowing unless I look it up online, which I don't want to do. I did immediately catch three new fish in a row when it turned midnight on april 1st, when I happened to be playing. I haven't done that much fishing yet anyway this month on account of all the eggs.

Gotta love how SE just recently released a statement cautioning people to not spoil the game for others when playing. And their marketing department basically went "hold my beer" and made a trailer that's spoiler ground zero.

For all you lovers of obscure pirate games and demakes, a new hack exists that vastly improves Somari for the NES.
It's still no match for Sega's own 8 Bit Sonic games, due to some of the "original's" issues still being present (some glitches, wonky physics and cheap enemy placement/behavior). But it's a fascinating alternate reality take on the Mega Drive version, which actually looks and sounds pretty good. And if you're not expecting a highly polished gameplay experience it can be rather fun.

For a moment I almost thought they got Phoenix Wright to make a cameo.

So I watched the trailer and after I did not know what these spoilers everyone was talking about were. Granted it's been 15 years since I've played FFVII but I remember the story-line somewhat. Found an article explaining some stuff though and I'm still not seeing it. Just sounds like some details and events have been shifted around. Kinda like the Lunar remakes. I'm willing to bet the overall story arc will be the same.

I actually pre-ordered FF7R recently as I’m unsure if stock will be different due to corona or something? I really wanna start playing it over easter so I thought it’s better to be safe than sorry...
My expectations are all over the place. The original FF7 is after all only my 5th favorite FF of all time, after 6, 4, 9 and 12. But there’s something about the setting and story that begs for a remake so I’m looking forward to it a LOT.

I said I wouldn't when they announced the game would be several parts...but those graphics look so very pretty. I rank the PS1 FF7 in the middle of the pack as well. Swap 5 with 12 and I agree with you! Read some more forum posts on the changes. Sounds like there is more to it than I thought. Still not sure how the uninitiated would gather that from the trailer though. I've played every FFVII game and have seen Advent Children and still did not feel spoiled by the trailer. Confused maybe. One does tend to forget a lot of details when consuming copious amounts of media though.

I got the game (FF7R) today! Here I thought corona might delay shipping or something but instead I get it 4 days early? This is unheard of.

Hey, Square Enix did put out that statement asking those who got the game early to not put out too many spoilers. So they did really anticipate people getting the game early. I got a tracking number for my shipment, but apparently UPS is saying they only got the shipping label printed for now. I imagine it will be a pretty hefty box...
