I finally beat Bangai-O Missile Fury. That might just be the toughest game I've ever beaten. I feel like crying, especially after that bastard last stage where they end it with a Crazy King fight and then spawn two Crazy Kings after it! That's Treasure for you. Insane difficulty was their specialty. Except Wario World.

Insane difficulty was their specialty. Except Wario World. Hmm, not sure I agree with you. Always found their games harsh but fair. Even their shmups like Radiant Silvergun and Gradius V were only difficult because they were so long. Ikaruga isn't as bad as people make out. I've beaten it with 5 credits. This though, well because the levels are bite sized and not usually more than 5 minutes it feels more like Super Meat Boy where it can hit you with insane challenge and execution but it's not too frustrating as the penalty isn't too bitter a pill to swallow and the mechanics are so tight it really is always your fault no matter how bullshit the Crazy King boss is.

Been trying to play Paper Mario: The Origami King. It is just so boring. I'm on the third streamer and I'm just done. Rant time!
Like Color Splash before it Origami King (OK) is basically a collectathon. You find hundreds of hidden toads (possibly a thousand to keep with theming) and other hidden items in each zone with only the slightest incentive to do so. You fill in holes with confetti and fight mostly pointless battles with stationary supplies filling in for bosses. Gee what creativity! (Sarcasm.) At least Color Splash had the Koopalings! This game feels like it is intended for a young audience and perhaps they will enjoy it. For me the game feels empty and brain dead easy. The characters aren't even enjoyable. Hello toad number 267! So clever.
I hate to pipe on about how great I think the first few Paper Mario games were but man Nintendo keeps draining all the originality out of the series. You look at all the unique characters and dialogue in the first couple games and compare them to OK and it is heart wrenching how bland the game is. Origami King doesn't even have female toads! I'm fairly certain there are more unique characters in the opening stage of The Thousand Year Door than there are in the entirety of OK. I fought a box of colored pencils as a major boss fight in OK. GAH!
Sigh. I knew this would happen yet I bought the game anyway. Should've just been happy with Bug Fables. I want to love Paper Mario again Nintendo. At this point the series feels like a bad ex.

Pikmin 3 deluxe announced at last. October 30th with additional side story content. Not many Wii U ports to go I'd imagine.

Monolith doesn't think XCX is feasible to be released on Switch. I think it's a file size issue. The Wii U version is almost 23GB. Granted this was said a little before 2 was released so maybe the 32GB carts have become more economical since then. It'd be tough to squeeze it down to 16. I think that's why we got the original instead.

Project Zero 5 was built with using the gamepad as a camera in mind (which didn't work as smoothly as it should have) so I'm not expecting it. To be honest I'd be surprised if Nintendo return to that series considering how little they sell. The game was only okay in my opinion. It had a similar problem to Luigi's Mansion 2 where the games length was extended by breaking it down into missions and you'd end up repeating segments.
I think that the only Wii U ports that are still to come from Nintendo are: Super Mario 3D World Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker HD Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess HD
Yoshi's Woolly World would be an easy port also but it came to 3DS.

We all forgetting Devil's Third?
Come on, I can't be the only one?

Most notable Wii U releases that haven't been ported yet are either made obsolete by their sequels or would be compromised by the lack of the Wii U's gamepad/touchscreen. 3D World and Xenoblade X are the only ones really left. Though I will say I don't understand why they haven't ported Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD yet. That's just free money. We all forgetting Devil's Third? Come on, I can't be the only one? Hate to break it to you, but you are the only one.

We all forgetting Devil's Third? Come on, I can't be the only one? In much the same way the mind may try to block out aby other mental trauma, yes.... yes, I did.

It’s really difficult for me to understand what the problem is when we’re, in fact, talking about a port of a last-gen game, but of course - it’s a huge game. I hope Monolith changes its mind, but I can also understand if they don’t think it would be profitable. The game would probably do WAY better on the Switch though, so that is something I hope they realise. EDIT: ...unless they’re saving it for a next-gen Nintendo console. Would not surprise me either.

Monolith has some still unannounced game that's been in development for two years. If that's an X2, I think that significantly lowers the chances of seeing an XCX remake any time soon. Considering how it ended, I'd rather see a sequel than a remake.
There's still a few other unmentioned first party games that haven't see a Switch port or successor that functionally replaces it. I might be missing a little, but I think this is actually more or less complete.
Possible NES Remix - This seems like such a no brainer to bring over as almost all the games are on Switch Online already. Make it a freebie with subscription like Tetris 99.
Nintendo Land - I put the similar Game & Wario as a "Not Likely" mainly because it's not that great, but there's enough in Nintendo Land that's worthwhile enough to either break up as individual releases or to return along with new games in a sequel.
Star Fox Zero - I liked it a lot, and the gamepad is significantly more optional than any of the previews made it seem.
"Wii" Sports Club - The Switch has all the hardware of the Motion+ and then some which couldn't be assumed on the Wii U and lead to Club being such a step down. A full port of Sports Resort is 100% doable.
Not Likely Dr. Luigi - Just for the sake of completeness, I don't imagine this coming over directly or a new Dr. Mario being released due to World.
Game & Wario - I really don't see this happening. It's such a slight release and most of the mini-games are less substantive than in Nintendo Land.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars - I think the main question is if this is still a series that's going to continue in general. Tipping Stars felt like it was the end.
Mini Mario & Friends: Amiibo Challenge - I guess TS isn't technically the last game, but I don't think an Amiibo focused freebie spin-off is going to see a new version.
PM: Color Splash - I loved Origami King, but I don't see CS coming over since the next game is such a huge improvement.
Pushmo World - I think IS got tired of the series since the last game was in 2015, and there hasn't been a peep since.
Impossible Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - This is too tied to touch to be portable ported.
Sing Party - This isn't going to happen since there's no longer a built in mic.

I'd rather just have a new installment of Star Fox.

I'd be nice to see something that let you roam all of Lylat. So basically something along the lines of Starlink but with space travel and not an Ubisoft game. There's a lot of potential there if Nintendo is actually willing to make it. I honestly would not be surprised if there was some kind of behind the scenes attempts by Nintendo to just make Starlink a full Star Fox without any the super generic base elements. They had a partnership for Mario + Rabbids so it's not an impossible thought. I'm assuming Ubisoft's vain desire to create a new toys to life property when that market was already dead being the main roadblock. Every other version of it was a total flop anyway, and the toy part was so poorly thought out.
