Yeah,I think the main factor of my recruiting success so far is the fact that I bring my 3ds to college with me and probably encounter at least nine other players in a day, if the Mii plaza is any indication. That said, there have been some pretty insane teams so far. One consisted entirely of level 20 promoted classes with absolutely no weapons on them at all, except for their leader, who had a couple of ordinary wind tomes. I figured it'd be a duck shoot, except none of my units could damage anyone, and when I went for the leader, I found they'd set their challenge message to "The truth hurts!" She one shot killed my level 9 Grandmaster, triggering game over. =P

I've learned that I just plain don't like Sine Mora very much.

I love Saints Row; it's such a silly, dumb game. I'm looking forward to trying the sequels, since I hear they're even sillier

My Game Boy Pocket had batteries from 2005 die in it, and leak out acid which solidified, killing the system I tried cleaning it with q-tips and rubbing alcohol, but it's not turning on. I've had it since I was about 7 or 8, so this greatly saddens me. It worked just fine less than a year ago! I wish I had thought to remove/replace its batteries then D:

I'm replaying Discworld for the first time since it was released, and this really isn't a good game. I don't have the patience anymore to use every item in every possible location (which seems to be required to get anywhere), so I'm resorting to walkthroughs when I get stuck. Suffice it to say there's no way I would ever have figured out some of these puzzles by myself, there's very little logic involved, and I've forgotten almost everything from the first time round.

I get kind of impatient and nervous when I end up having to order a used PS1 or PS2 game from either eBay or someone selling through Amazon.
I'm not a 'collector' per se, so I'm not willing to drop large amounts of money to make sure I get a 'new' copy of things, so I get to deal with the drama of not knowing if I'm about to be screwed or not, heh.
Still, it's nice to be trying to fill in some PS1 gaps again. It's interesting to see how the complexion of one's game library changes with each title acquired (the last time I went through this, it resulted in the acquisition of Granstream Saga, Xevious 3D/G, Toshinden 2, and Dragon Valor).

That's what you do with car battery corrosion. The baking soda neutralizes the battery acid. If it's been that long, it might be too far gone, but give it a shot.

I get kind of impatient and nervous when I end up having to order a used PS1 or PS2 game from either eBay or someone selling through Amazon. I feel pretty comfortable ordering through Amazon Marketplace most of the time. I start by scanning the condition they claim and look for stuff that's Good, Very Good, or Like New...then I read the actual description and see if they break it down further. If they don't and the price isn't very tempting, I just move on to the next one that did take the time to try to sell their product. It's funny when someone lists something as "Like New" but it's Disc-only (though, to be fair, the disc could be damned perfect looking). Don't always score the best deals that way, but I've yet to be burned by it. Now, ordering brand new stuff...I've been burned there by a bootleg copy of Dragon Quest V (pre-reprint). Ended up filing a complaint, returning it, getting a refund, and ordering from Hastings' shop on the Marketplace (a much more reputable reseller). One of the super few times I ordered a New GB/GBA/DS/3DS game from Amazon and didn't buy it directly from Amazon (because I've always been worried about bootlegs).

I also tend to take location into account. All other things being comparable, I'm much more likely to order from a seller in PA/NY/MD/NJ than I am one out West unless I have no choice in the matter.

Why would that be? I can understand if you're worried about bootlegs from Hong Kong, but Portland?

I would assume that the location she orders from is important for smooth shipping, not out of concern for getting a bootleg product... although I do find amusement in the thought of Portland having a thriving industry making bootleg products.

Oddly, living in Portland area myself, I seem to have things shipped to me quicker from the east coast than from the likes of California and Washington. Never have figured out why.
Oh, I now have an all tactician army in FIre Emblem. =P
