They're women who do that? Because I have not seen any. I did see a Retsupurae of some girl playing Minecraft though. However, I'm still curious if say Pewdiepie could do that to like Silent Hill 2 and completely renew interest in it. I don't think anyone would want that to happen, but it is an interesting thought.

If PewDiePie did SH2 he would spend the entire game jamming on the stick to make it look like James is humping Maria's leg.

Okay, I've actually never watched a full PewDiePie video. I only have room for one absolutely shit LP'er and I love watching DSP fail and get all pissy. That said, watching him play Silent Hill 2 was pretty painful. As was, FFX. And KotoR. And my god the MGS games made me sad. Actually, watching him play anything I've ever played was tough because he really has no brain. His playthrough of KotoR was awful, I played that game once all the way through. He couldn't understand the combat, he couldn't even figure out how to switch characters right after the tutorial explained it. He then proceeded to throw a fit at all the people on the stream chat, about making fun of him for not figuring out a game that he accussed of everyone playing a jillion time and that's why they knew how to do shit...
I got kind of on a tangent there... sorry.

The games jump scares are largely consistent internally, they obey a specific set of rules and logical and aren't just randomly generated segments of screaming. That is to say that all the animals have their own set of rules that they follow, they all make noises as they move towards you - the game basically punishes you with a jump scare for not paying attention (or for paying too much attention as the case is for when the power goes out).

I can't see how it would be fun even if I were playing it. It seems to be entirely tedious jump scares. From the way people were talking about how scary it is I thought you would at least get to walk around the place. A jump scare is only guaranteed if you fail. You always have the option of quitting before that happens and restarting the level. :p Also I recommend playing the demo first before rushing to judgment like I did. I didn't get the big deal with this game either until I actually sat down and played it. It's a well designed game where the horror element, such that it is, plays entirely into the mechanics.

I should mention your inability to move actually increases the tension, you are trapped in your tiny security room slowly being *overwhelmed*

This game does have my interest, but I don't know if I'd actually play it. The atmosphere seems awesome though; nowhere to go, limited power, keep awareness of your surroundings at all times... it's a great setting. And I rather like how the seemingly innocent animatronics for a children's pizza place are inexplicably trying to kill you. It would be enough to make me nervous trying to keep an eye on everything.
I've barely found any watchable LPs of it though. I just watch the ones with no commentary, and I've only found one with commentary that I liked. I utterly cannot stand Markaplier's LP of it. Or LPs of anyone who plays a horror game and completely fakes their fright, babbling hysterically or screaming like a dope.
Maybe when I muster up the motivation (and the money to want to play it), I could try it. I find it a fascinating game.
EDIT: Whoops, I got the LPer's name wrong. My bad, horrible lapse in memory. It was Markaplier's LP that I utterly hated so much. Not sure why I thought it was Yamimash.

I hear once you figure out the movement patterns, the game becomes easy to the point that there's nothing left to do.

For those not ready to pay the 4,99 for it, Five Nights at Freddy's is now available on Indie Gala bundle for less than 2 dollars along with bunch of other crap (One is a RPG maker game and one looks like a horrible low-budget FPS) www.indiegala.com/weekly

Man, I tried to find decent Youtube footage of the game, but all I got was tons and tons of really obnoxious longplayers faking panic. (=_=);

This guy is great for this kind of thing. Doesn't yell, doesn't scream, doesn't even use a facecam. Well, except for a video where he played Slender with a facecam made up of pictures of The Rock, but that was hilarious.

They're women who do that? Because I have not seen any. I would wager that virtually anything you can possibly think of, yes, there are women that do that.

I just haven't seen one, and women tend to get a lot of visibility on the internet. Not particularly positive visibility, but you catch my drift.

Well then, that was fast. Hopefully another Game Club 199X - First Strike episode is in order once this comes out.
