Where do you live? Because there is a similar train culture in major cities with a subway system. I didn't start driving until I was in my twenties because I could always take a bus or train to work or wherever I was going. Its the easiest and quickest way around Boston. But also the most crowded.

But also the most crowded. Pretty much everywhere in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and California is as I described it (California being a semi-exception, as there IS ample public transportation, but it's not really safe), as is Las Vegas (which is basically taxi town, or buses if you're feeling brave). The DC area has a pretty OK metro system, as does New York, but I've been to far more places without good public transportation (or ANY public transportation) than with. And I'm not kidding when I say that most people I knew growing up (that being in rural Pennsylvania) had never ridden a train before in their lives -- and most of them still haven't. -Tom

Japan has some serious issues with sexuality. Porn censorship lead to a lot of crazy experimentation there, and it sort of fed into the otaku mindset, which has some influence on the country proper. For example, there's a growing trend with people retreating into "2D love," where they become afraid of real relationships and retreat into fantasy supplied by games. This has actually affected the birth rate so much that Japan has a serious issue to deal with as the population starts having less and less young population in the next few decades. Porn can also be destructive in excess. I browse a few hentai communities and the common trend that keeps popping up is that some members start letting fantasy inform their personality and views, even if they don't realize it. There is some terrifying sexist shit there. It's actually fascinating. I'd love to see a sociology study of these places and anonymous populated sites like 4chan to see the effects of their hostile and joking culture (going on a tangent, I know, but it really is fascinating stuff). I would also be very curious to see said study, if it existed, particularly for online communities. I have conflicted feelings about the sort of stuff that goes on there.

Back to topic I was surprised to see on one the Ultracade arcade cabinets had Pipi & Bibis on it in Disney Quest in downtown Disney Orlando.

I won't go into details, but I've noticed a rise in racist comments on 4chan boards as of late, along with people trying to use racist memes from the site to make political points. Dead serious, I've seen so many offensive "greedy jew" image edits and people use them with no sense of irony to demonize someone as a racist stereotype, then expect to be taken seriously. The line between troll and ignorant idiot has been blurred horribly.

Even as a "joke", it's not particularly funny.

I wonder how many people actually play it and realize there's a porn game on there? Well before booting it up it had a US arcade guide label for the game saying strong sexual content no other game on these systems had that guideline so it probably did have the nudity still. Though on the same cabinet they redrew the character selection screen on Snow brothers 2 so these get removed and changed. ![](https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=HN.608018295464724197&pid=15.1&P=0) Though Disney Quest is kinda weird they have no arcade games with blood in them even all their the light gun games they have never having you facing humans enemy's even if there bloodless. Though the never changed since the place opened media area using touch screens to create a picture you can print of has this in and this was only made for Disney quest no one else.

That line between "really" and just trying to get a rise out of someone has always been a cover for hostile people to get off the hook in any form of interaction online or not. There are plenty of people who were "jokingly" racist and sexist all the time through their young adulthood, guess what they're like now? It's easy when you're living in a mental bubble be that caused by physically living in some hyper-ignorant society or from most of your social interaction being a meme echo chamber on the internet. Pipi and Bibi's man. I believe you can make it kid-friendly by changing the dip switches though which is how it's probably configured. Disney's "don't shoot humans" rule even extend to the theme park itself. The awesome wild west shooting gallery they used in Magic Kingdom was changed to be a plain where you shoot birds and objects instead of people in a saloon. What even happened to this thread? This thread was doomed ever since it lost the ability to love.

Can't speak for other internet bigots but being bombarded with people trying way too hard to be politically correct is what usually "triggers" me (in Tumblr parliance). That, and the fact that you're only a bigot or a hatemonger if you're a white American male. Otherwise you're free to hate and discriminate all you want.

Well, seeing Bokosuka Wars at #2 put me in a good mood. I don't know what makes it happen, but whenever it does happen that your brain realizes that the term "politically correct" stems from an intentional effort to cast the notion of "don't be a jerk" in a negative light, you will be a happier person. That said, I don't understand why anyone would read any text on Tumblr, 4Chan, etc. in the first place.

The line between troll and ignorant idiot has been blurred horribly. I'm assuming you're referring to all the posts that used that to describe Anita Sarkeesian? Because yeah, I think that's just GamerGaters who've been worked into a frenzy. I don't think they represent 4chan, much less society in general -- they exist in their own little bubble. Take away the quotes, and I'll tell you what they're like now: well-adjusted, liberal individuals. I believe very much that you can make racist and sexist jokes and turn out fine, as long as you're ACTUALLY KIDDING. And usually, you can tell when someone is actually kidding. Or most people can, anyway. The ability to discern intent seems to have degraded a lot over the past 10 years or so, as people are getting offended over bloody EVERYTHING nowadays... including good-natured jokes that are obviously not meant to be taken seriously. And that's sad. Because honestly... racist and sexist jokes (including jokes about whiteys, and jokes about dumb men) can be genuinely funny, as long as both the teller and the tellee know it's not serious. -Tom
