The Dreamcast version doesn't work in Redream so I couldn't look myself, but it does seem to be be pokier based on videos. It's a shame the DC wasn't dual analog because that could have improved the controls.

Not a bad game really but the reviews were middling for Pandora's Tower. It seemed to have a lot going against it, being bundled as a late to arrive JRPG trio in the US meant many were disappointed. I'd struggle to qualify it as an RPG at all. Also a fixed camera system which is just generally unpopular, but I find makes it easier to focus on the gameplay whilst capturing the nice art direction. The technical limitations of the Wii also weren't in it's favour at the time. That said besides the art direction I really enjoyed the soundtrack and the unique Wii remote focused action gameplay. The set up of small stages with simple exploration and a nice boss battle for each made for a simple loop that I found reminiscent of older classics. Of course the darker tone put a nice twist on an otherwise simple love story.
