I guess I'll highlight a few of my favrioutes: Dynasty Warriors 3Perhaps the only Dynasty Warriors game that has the right mix of rock music. For the most part, the music is catchy, from the Yellow Turban Rebellion to The Flames of Chi Bi. In my opinion, these help pump the adrenaline into the game! Ridge Racer RevolutionOk, so its too much electro or dance for some. Ridge Racer's music is awesome, although it is not as good as Daytona USA's, similar to Dynasty Warriors it gives the game its adrenaline. Front Mission 3I don't actually know why, but I like the music in this game. Somehow it manages to keep me playing and normally suits to the atmosphere of the game, similar to what Final Fantasy VII or VIII managed. Sonic AdventureAll I have to say is that the theme tune owns all. Simple, listen to it, love it. Normally I'd leave the intro of the game running just so I can listen to it, sad but true. Bust a Move 2Haha, yes I do like J-Pop. Infact the best song in the game has to be the J-Pop one. I can't remember the name of it, but for anyone else who has played it on Sega Saturn or PSone, they'll understand what I mean...

*Battle Arena Toshinden Remix & 2/URA (SAT/PSX) - Awesome synthy almost eurobeat-y type stuff... Remix on the Saturn has a fantastic exclusive song -Cupido's Theme- that kicks large amounts of ass (think Dracula Battle and you're getting close). The second game was less euro-synth and more jap video game, but still just as fantastic, and catchy as all hell. Listen to this man, Cupido's theme is mindblowing with awesomeness.

I'm putting my bid in for Streets of Rage 3. Although not quite as awesome as the first two, I still think it has a hell of a lot of merit, despite the bashing it receives from others.

No one ever talks about much in the UK I'm gonna say shinobi 3, mainly cause I just saw that the article on this site said the music was mediocre. Any one else like this soundtrack as much as me?

Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance =) the latter being my favorite of all time almost, strange but true i heard numerous people complaining about the soundtrack used in that game, and i like it vely much The soundtrack of HoD was actually pretty solid, but the quality of the sound design was what ultimately damaged it. Too bad the increased graphical power sacrificed the music quality... that's my take on it, anyway. Here's a similar case for a soundtrack I like: Double Dragon 2. The composition of the tunes themselves are damn awesome, but the actual NES sound of them... well, it's rather soft-sounded and kind of weak. The only piece of music that has any serious punch to it is the final boss tune (which rules no matter what), but for the most part, the low volume and mild beats hurt the sound. I still like it, though, but I still wonder why it sounds quieter compared to the original NES DD soundtrack?

How about the Chaos Legion soundtrack? I've never seen any love for it, but I find myself listening to it at various times...
