I feel so horrible for inadvertently being the catalyst that started Steamthreadocalypse 2013. I make one offhand remark and next thing I know the thread has become host to a verbal knife fight.

Even if you meant it in the creepy sense it's still a big compliment, so thanks! And Succubus, I'm just sad that thread died as fast as it did because it was positively hilarious. And susan's "irony is palpable" statement's even more true and daresay ironic given what was done to his sig and by whom. I guess I just find it funny when people that are big on free speech and freedom of press and all that shit want to obliterate opinions and comments by people that don't agree with them. I mean, G-d forbid that someone have a different opinion on something and want to express themselves (even if you don't believe in G-d). But hey, internet. |

Jeff Cannata pisses me off.
Maybe it's my fault for having anything to do with Weekend Confirmed, let alone participating in the chat, but the guy brings such a flippant and dismissive attitude towards anyone who says anything remotely critical.
An example from this week, someone (not me) posted this comment:
- "Jeff, I can't believe you talked about Fire Emblem on a Valentines Day episode and made absolutely no mention of the marriage system. I assume you haven't played that far into the game because it was such a painful missed opportunity. Pity."
To which Jeff replied:
- "Yeah, haven't gotten that far. Sorry it was so "painful" for you."
That that sure seems awfully passive-aggressively backhanded in response to what didn't seem like all that negative a comment. Maybe I'm reading too much into it? Perhaps, but I can't see how you could read that mock apology and not find it dismissive and condescending. And he's played that card on several other occasions. He's also quoted comments from the chat in "troll voice" on the show more than once.
But the kicker is the part where he complains about how much he hates bullies on the internet.
