There's also some font/image priorities problems in the last page in the Pulstar part.

Hey, this was one of the first articles I read on the site! Nice to see it updated, but you've got a few more errors...
DX mode (da ULTIMATE CHALLENGE!!1!) doesn't add any additional stages. Its final stage is the same as the final stage of R-Type II, though I guess it looks a little more forest-y on the GBC.
Actually, there are three new stages (1, 4, & 6). They all have new bosses, which is pretty cool. The other four stages are from the arcade game, altered to varying degrees. Stage 3 (which was stage 2 in the arcade) has a new mini-boss and boss replacing the originals.
You left out his R-Type Leo form. I think you used to have it as one of the first pictures of the article; it looks like a robotic version of his R-Type II form (AKA Subtom) and has enhanced versions of the same three attacks.
Also, the picture you have labeled as the final boss of Leo is actually one of a pair of guardians fought right before the final boss. They're kinda like the R-Type version of those dancing spiders from Gradius since you don't need to destroy them. The final boss is the computer, Major.
If you want names for the other bosses, the Japanese wikipedia says the final boss of R-Type 3 is called Mother Bydo and the walker from Delta is called Gates (or maybe Gaits, since it walks). The museum in R-Types lists Barakus as the name of the stage 2 boss from R-Type II.
You might want to mention that after the legal threats, Factor 5 changed some of the graphics and re-released the game as Denaris. Plays a bit better than Katakis, too.
"Armored" should be "Armed." Happens once on the first page and many times on the fourth.
I wish! You die after one shot in Gallop. It's banging against the terrain that makes you lose your missile unit.
Personally, I really like Gallop, but of course you can hold any opinion about it you want. I also think R-Type III has the longest spans without action in the series, and while its a fun game that makes it hard for me to replay.

^^^ Very nice. I'll have to look into my Gallop article too if your claims are true. Thanks for the heads up, and nice work finding all those errors.

Hey just want to resurrect this seeing as the article got updated. I've noticed an error in the part about the 360 port. you say it's a perfect conversion but one difference I've noticed is that the spaceship in level 3 of R-type 1 takes way more damage to take down in the remake. It used to take one charged shot and now it takes a good few more. It's only minor but it got on my nerves since I like my retro games to be left alone.

Well, it says "almost perfect", which is noted later. The hit detection makes the fourth boss a lot harder than I remember.

The main character from this game appears as a playable character in Image Fight 2 for the PCE CD. And I can't understand the storyline, but judging from the game movies, I think the R9 is the enemy in the game.

Quite the necropost, but there's something that may be worth a small addition to the article: a new version of R-Type for the Amstrad CPC, made by a group of fans who wanted to correct the "injustice" of the system having a shoddy port, sicne it was basically a worse version of the ZX Spectrum port. The video below is a comparison between the old version and this new one. www.rtype.fr/Game_Features.html
