First, there are many Japanese retro computer sites, but they tend to be small, personal sites, like this one and this one. Now about the TRS-80... That's an important clue, I think. Maybe it wasn't a consumer model, and was instead sold to universities and other institutions. It seems to have a pretty heavy-duty case. I suspect this because regular TRS-80s from Tandy were available in Japan and sold at retail shops. There are several Japanese TRS-80 pamphlets and catalogs floating around the web, like this one: Would Tandy have given Teac an OEM license to produce consumer TRS-80 models, in direct competiton with Tandy itself? It seems more plausible that Teac was producing models for a different target market (just my speculation, however). Meanwhile, I also found an image of a Teac PS-85: Hope that helps.

This I am sure of. The picture is clearly that of an 5.25 inch external disk drive for the FM-7/8/NEW7 and not for the FM-77, which primarily uses 3.5 inch disks (although the drive may be compatible with the FM-77). And as you can see here, the disk drives are internal, not external.
