After Inafune bailed, maybe they're putting the Blue Bomber out to pasture?

I don't think they would get rid of Mega Man entirely, because it is a popular franchise. I'm worried about Legends 3 in particular though.

They'll probably reboot the series. Rock will be a dark, angsty teen with an entire bottle of gel in his hair. Or possibly a bald space marine. Development will be handled by a team of Eastern European convicts.

After Inafune bailed, maybe they're putting the Blue Bomber out to pasture? Seems like it. Even though they claim that they have other things in store for Mega Man (translation: art books and only art books), I really wish they'd just sell the property to someone who gives half a damn. They'll probably reboot the series. Rock will be a dark, angsty teen with an entire bottle of gel in his hair. Or possibly a bald space marine. Development will be handled by a team of Eastern European convicts. ...but this is far more likely. (Though I'd be curious about a 2D Mega Man that follows the aesthetics of the terrible American boxarts, using the animation style of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter: The Movie.)

I still say they are stalling so they put fans into such a frothing panic that they buy 2 copies upon release thus guaranteeing a profit for Capcom

Pretty much. Too much doom and gloom talk here. Here's Megaman's final design for the game: With helmet on: Voting for 2nd MM design poll (Bottom left, Japan; Bottom right, US/international): They did a pretty awesome job of reducing "diaper" while keeping it looking mechanical.

My faith in the fanbase has been slightly restored knowing that most people prefer the more robotic look.

I think the final design looks great. I'm also glad you'll still be able to get his helmet. I usually try to get the helmet in Mega Man Legends games ASAP.

The balljoint legs make him look like an action figure.

It's good for the merchandising biz though.

Do they still make Rockman action figures? I got a bunch of those when I was younger, and those were awesome.

Yeah the final design is good but I'm still not a fan of the ball joints. If he was never shown looking like a normal human outside of the armor I wouldn't care though so whatev. (and even then that was only for like, three second in the intro of the second game).
