Cool, usually new demos are locked to silver accounts for a week. The controls felt really clunky. I know Mass Effect was never the smoothest, but this felt worse than I remember. That's gotta be a PC problem, on Xbox Mass Effect has never controlled this smooth.

The new running animation is hysterical.

The new running animation is hysterical. Godhand hysterical? And shit. Ashley done got hawt. Is she still a massive racist too? I want to see how she reacts to generic black guy from Mass effect 2 nevermind generic alien guy - she was an amazing dickhead in the original! (and I don't mean amazing in the good sense)

See, I've heard people say that before, but she wasn't an evil person. I didn't get the impression that she was racist towards any particular stripe of humans, certainly. As far as aliens go, I don't think she hated them, she just preferred to stay away from them. It's one thing to feel that another race is naturally inferior and less deserving of basic rights than another, but it's a whole other deal if you just prefer to be around your own kind.
Either way, I prefer Miranda. I just think they made Ashley a lot hotter this time around. And I've never actually played God Hand. Oops.

Don't forget token space latino. She's gonna love him.
Not going to have to worry about her though because she's busy being dead in my game.

Once you get to know Ashley, you figure out why she's Space Racist. Definitely not racist at all towards other humans. And eventually she warms up a lot to the non-humans. She even speaks out against the Terra Firma party if you take her to the Citadel during that little side quest.
Spoiler: Besides, I don't think she'd be made into a Spectre if she didn't at least learn to tolerate aliens.

I actually liked Ashley as a character more than Carth II: The Quickening. I just figured that with her family's disgraced history Ashley could make things better for her family by being dead. Plus, Kaiden would still be having headaches and miserable so it'd be all good.

Spoilered text follows: If she's a Spectre in her own right now, why on earth would she want to run around with Shepard's little band of misfits? She should be out saving the galaxy on her own.My only regret in the first game was that I had to choose one and couldn't leave them both.

I think the first game could have stood to have a lot more romance options, but it was the beginning of a new franchise.

I'm just waiting for Tali taking off her mask and having a face like a penis with teeth...or worse still...Miley Cyrus!

Well, that was a disappointing bait and switch. During the intro on Earth, I was able to chain Charges. Then the timeskip happens and I now have to wait twenty seconds for it to recharge. Bioware really, really hates Vanguards, don't they?

FemShep has to either get down with some pointy-boned alien, an alien who can't shut the fuck up each time he remembers a bowel movement in excruciating detail, Jacob (AKA the most boring person EVAR)... It's like going to a buffet and every single option is mac n' cheese, just with different colors.

At least Male and Female Shepard both have their options expanded in ME3. Sure FemShep already had Liara, but Male Shep's getting some same sex options, too.
And I prefer FemShep's options in ME2, though I'd rather have Miranda than Space Kanye. But FemShepxGarrus is my OTP.
