Another year, another series of hyped promises that will inevitably end in disappointment.
Looking back on it, last year's E3 was pretty shitty. Nintendo did a great job of making everybody on the planet want a 3DS, but I'm personally glad I passed on it (so far) because from what I've played of it I was extremely unimpressed. Move and Kinect have yet to contribute anything meaningful to the games market. The first fully console Kirby game in forever ended up being puerile trash, and... well, that's about all I gave a shit about from last year. Will 2011 be any different?
Nintendo's certain to give us some more official details about the Wii 2, but what do Sony and Microsoft have up their sleeve? We'll see more about the NGP certainly but I have to wonder how much of Sony's presentation will be spent skirting around the PSN debacle.

I look forward to the same thing every year: Although I hear valve has said that it has nothing to show this year.

We'll get Left 3 Dead before we see Episode 3.

The two games I cared most about this year, Dark Souls and The Witcher 2, have already been announced, and in the case of the latter, released. I'm hoping that somebody has something totally awesome to pull out for E3, but there's nothing in particular I'm looking for.

I'm mainly interested in seeing the new "Splinter Cell" and finally learning what Nintendo's Project Cafe is. Everything else I'm interested in has already had screens and footage released. Not expecting any game changing surprises this year. (Famous last words?)

I'm mostly hoping Nintendo will announce Solatorobo, Xenoblade and The Last Story for the U.S., but considering their track record with leaving big-name titles Europe-only, I'm fully expecting to be disappointed.

I'm hoping for this too (also Zangeki no Reginleiv!), but don't expect it to happen in any way.

I am hoping for some Nintendo announcements as well, mainly in the case of Xenoblade and Ni no Kuni for DS.
It would also be nice to hear something on King of Fighters XIII and Metal Gear Rising.

As always, I'm hoping that the smaller companies will have at least some exciting announcements. I'm hoping for some announcements for some PSP/DS rpgs/srpgs to make it to the US, like 7th Dragon 2020, Nora and the Time Studio, Venus and Braves, Gloria Union, one srpg for the psp whose title I forgot (something like Blue Tears or something?).
It'd also be nice to see some footage of Tekken x Street Fighter, but I'm not counting on it.
