NGP is now PlayStation Vita. Doesn't Sony have any native English speakers in their marketing department who could tell them how stupid that sounds?

NGP is now PlayStation Vita. Doesn't Sony have any native English speakers in their marketing department who could tell them how stupid that sounds? Probably, but now the slogan can be Viva La Vita! Which sort of, almost, works?

Well the acronym can be PSV now, which... sorta sounds like PSP?

I can't wait to see DJ MAX on this baby.
(Also, Atlus are confirmed devs. SMT + PSV = bliss)

FUUUUUUUU PSP2/NGP/PSVita = 249$ Really? That's not half bad. Wow. The real question is whether there will be good games for it. If they let you buy the old PSP games on the store, I might consider it.

Between the unexpectedly low price of the PSV and the fact that Capcom can't seem to get their shit together regarding MML3, there's a decent chance I may just hold off on getting the 3DS this year and grab a PSV instead, assuming their launch titles are up to snuff. If they let you buy the old PSP games on the store, I might consider it. Isn't this already a confirmed feature? Last I heard, the PSV was fully compatible with all digital PSP titles.

Yes, $250 is obviously a very competitive price. Color me interested. The main problem I see for the Vita is that the 3DS is really in that sweet spot where Japanese developers can make games for it without havin' ta mess with all of them newfangled HD thangamajangers. And presumably the 3DS is powerful enough that Sony won't have the Monstah Hantah games all to themselves this time.
Of course, I'm curious as to what the battery life is like. The 3DS is much less powerful and has a terrible battery life, so that does not auger well for the Vita in this regard. I can see the commercials now:
"Ours longa, Vita brevis!"

249 dollars is an excellent price but I'm really disappointed with Sony yet again setting a ridiculous european price in comparison. I'll be picking up a US model for sure. 1 euro is 0.68 dollars not 1 dollar!
