Wake me when Microsoft's conference ends...jeez who really gives a shit about the Kinect? Let it die already. More than someone does (as far as I know, it has sold quite well), if else, they would not keep making Kinect games. So simple.

So I hear they announced cloud storage for XBL and that this "gamertag recovery" nightmare that I keep hearing horror stories about will be no more. Presumably this means I can sign in to any 360, download my save and pick up a game from where I left off without having to jump through any hoops.
Sounds good to me. Though there's no explanation as to how this affects stuff I already bought on XBL.

Someone else saw what Nintendo just showed, right?
I'm not alone with this madness, right?

THE CONTROLLER IS THE CONSOLE
with motion control touch screen web browser a fucking screen it's compatible with 3DS or something and puts out HD and you can play games on it's screen and on the TV or on the TV and there's a new Zelda coming out for it presumably or something. And you can use the Wiimote with it.
dude, what. I'm so confused

They couldn't just call it Super Wii. Wii-U sounds like a third rate university.

The Wii-U controller looks really ugly. Nintendo hasn't made a decent controller ever since Gumpei Yokoi left the company and then died.

I like that Nintendo's finally understanding that they need third party support to be a viable option among the hardcore. I just hope the hardware doesn't max out its potential within the first year like its predecessor.

What pissed me off the most was the twitter/facebook/yahoo feed I was reading alongside the conference at gametrailers. For the entire Nintendo conference most people were bashing the "shitty graphics" of every game they showed - Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus Uprising (which looks fun as hell) to name a few - and then finally at the end when Nintendo showed the third party HD montage, all of a sudden everyone was like "OMG HD graffix" or "Assassin's Creed!!!"

Welp, Nintendo won E3 this year. Easily, really. I'm just hope that the third-party support they're promising doesn't fade out as time passes. I'm especially happy about hearing Arkham City's getting ported, and I have to admit I'm at least SLIGHTLY curious about the new Smash Brothers.

That controller is just... ugh. 90% gimmicky crap that most developers won't seriously use because motion and touch controls kind of blow? Check. Almost certain to be ludicrously expensive if you want more than one? Check. Extraneous screen that while neat in concept, adds little to the actual experience and can even prove to be detrimental? Check. Godawful awkward button placement on the right hand side of the controller? Check.
I'm trying to think of any reason I would want to use that controller for a mainstream game instead of a 360 or PS3 controller, and I 'm coming up blank.
