Don't worry, Sony and Microsoft have certainly already scurried back to their respective labs to copycat the controller for their next consoles as well. Soon you won't have that option. Touch controls aren't necessarily a bad thing. Admittedly, it's underused on the DS, but there are potentially some benefits for things like menu interfaces. Especially if you don't need to whip out a stylus to use it. Motion controls do generally blow. I don't necessarily disagree with most of your criticisms, but it's not all bad.

The Playstation Vita demo showed that one Action RPG using both the Vita and the PS3 to play the same game, so it's not like Sony is far behind this crazy thing.

Honestly DmC baffles me because it looks to be DMC1 with a meth addicted Dante. I dunno, I guess I was expecting something more drastic with this reboot. They could have easily just made DMC5 if they were going to go this route.

OK, that made me a little more comfortable with what they're doing. Still doesn't answer the question of it's a reboot or a real prequel, though. It's probably the way the video's edited, but it looks really jittery. Combat seems exactly what I would expect from DMC though, don't know how you got a God of War vibe from that (they just need to add the style meter and it would look just like DMC3).

To be precise, it reminds me dangerously of DMC2: the combat looks right from a far, but it looks all jittery and it looks like there are frames missing in the animations.
Plus, the effects look kind of underpowered.

Hopefully it gets more smoothed out in the future.

weeeeyooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Mind Taking! bWiiUuuup Also, Nintendo's next controller is probably going to be a full body suit with backlit projection diodes you jam under your eyes. Because that's the natural progression of the ergonomic nightmares that they call controllers.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and attributing most of that to not being finished yet. Those graphics don't look anything near what you'd expect from a PS3/360 game either, so I doubt they're close to releasing it.

No U.S. release for Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo, yet they're localizing another Dragon Quest spinoff that I will never bother to play. Looks like the series is back to Japan-only releases.

If there's one thing history has shown, it's that if you really want these sorts of things to be successful, it has to be in the box on day one. Nintendo tried similar things with GBA/Gamecube connectivity. They had some limited success, but you really have to take the big gamble and incorporate it into the system if you want it to take off. I doubt Sony's going to start including $250 PSVs as the standard controller for PS4. But then again, they've done stupider things in the past.
