Are we picking on Super Metroid now? Is there nothing sacred to you? I'm not much into quirky games honestly. I appreciate originality and creativity for sure, but I find that they never hold my attention for very long.

Are we picking on Super Metroid now? Is there nothing sacred to you? If you're asking if there is a game universally loved by everyone, the answer is obviously no. ...Except for Wonder Boy III. ...As long as you ignore the frame rate and random charm stone drops.

I think Tetris might be a gamed that's universally loved by everyone. Or liked, at least.
Lol, what was this thread originally about again?

Incidentally, the 3DS does have this going for it, I guess that's probably not an argument in it's favour for most of you guys. I hate it when people only post a link to youtube/twitter/some blog/some pic hosting site or any other site that I can't access here in China without explaining their link at least somewhat. Nothing personal, it's just happening pretty often here in general.

Video Summary: He's got a usb ds cartridge reader thingy. He used that to dump the save off of the Resident Evil Mercenaries cart. Then he used notepad to overwrite the file with blanks. Then he wrote it back to the cartridge. When he started it back up, the game detected corrupted save data and asked if he wanted to delete the save and create a new one.

I don't think you can point to any game and claim it's universal. Anyway, I adore OoT, despite its age. It does control much stiffer than its more modern sequels, but there's something very special about its design that I really enjoy. That said, I have the N64 cartridge and two GC discs with it, so I'm not gung-ho on buying a new handheld to play it again, revised graphics or not.

Actually, he summarized a video from a different thread. What I really posted is a trailer for a game called Picture Lives.
It looks kind of like a combination of Animal Crossing mixed with the Spore Creature creator, but in 2D, and everything looks like it was made using either MS Paint or crayons. The whole thing looks and sounds completely batshit insane, and I really really want to play it.
