Thank you for solidifying your image as an asshole. See? Someone made a wishful statement, I made a strong argument as to why that will never happen, I didn't call anyone names, and I'm the "asshole" here?

Thank you for solidifying your image as an asshole. See? Someone made a wishful statement, I made a strong argument as to why that will never happen, I didn't call anyone names, and I'm the "asshole" here? You're also making assumptions that people aren't listening to you, while simultaneously not listening to the people talking to you. And it always seems like you're trying to always be right, even if it means stating your facts in as dickish a manner as possible. I know it's hard to discern tone from text, but with your posting I have no doubt in my mind that you're adamant that you're right and nobody else is.

And you're the one who assumed that I didn't "get Jason X's point" in the first place. I gave a suggestion, you gave possible reasons why he wouldn't do that (making assumptions for him in the process), and I gave further reasons why it's not a bad decision.
As for me being too opinionated (which is what you seem to be implying, correct me if I'm wrong), I could always end all of my opinions with "IMO", "that's just me" or "Your Mileage May Vary", or some other politically correct acknowledgment of other people's opinions, but I think it's kinda redundant to add such qualifiers when I'm obviously giving my opinion.

And you're the one who assumed that I didn't "get Jason X's point" in the first place. I made no such assumption. And I am not trying to imply that you are opinionated; I am merely trying to point out that you're an asshole. I'll bow out of the conversation, but first I'll say that there are other ways to not sound like a complete dick when stating facts and opinions alike. [edit] clarification of the second bit.

And I am not trying to imply that you are opinionated; I am merely trying to point out that you're an asshole. Yeah, because that narrows it down. It's easy to settle your differences with others when you play the name-calling game. I may be stubborn as a mule, but at least I don't intentionally try to insult people (at least not like I did in the old days). If I'm being a "dick", that's because you're interpreting it that way.

I really wish they'd make HD ports of Snatcher and Policenauts, as I never got to play either game. Same here. I really don't know why Konami hasn't given Snatcher in particular another chance. It's not the mid-'90s anymore, and a rerelease wouldn't be on a doomed add-on! I too would prefer to play the game legitimately. Maybe someday I'll try and hunt down a copy for the Sega CD. And a Sega CD. As for Policenauts, that should be easier to play because of the apparent availability of Japanese PSX copies, so that with the translation patch should be fine.

People, relax and try to be somewhat nice to each other! The off-topic bickering ends now. Why the heck is there also a pic of some questionable idol magazine featuring a scantily-clad 15 year old girl? Don't tell me Kojima "read" those kinds of mags when working on the games. Probably used it as research material for his games, so his protagonists could creep on realisticly depicted teenage girls in the shower.

Maybe it's related to the girlie mags in MGS2?

The girl on pic 10 looks more like a doll than a human being to me.

Maybe it's related to the girlie mags in MGS2? Those were at least "normal" boob mags featuring full-grown girls and not this kind of Japanese minor-idol stuff, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, I was wondering if it might have been "research" for when they were trying to decide what kind of magazine to use.
-edit-
Wait, didn't Portable Ops and Peace Walker have magazines with idols on them?

I would like to remind everyone that Peace Walker had a 16 year-old girl that, according to 2nd hand info and the web, can be stripped down to her undies. Kojima was always a sucker for barely legal perv moments.

Paz can be reduced to her underwear, and she's definitely not of legal age.

You've all missed the real reason Jason hasn't just downloaded them. No Achievements.
