Mr.X's brain had been disembodied to control Robot Y (a reference to Y. Amachi from Cyber City Oedo perhaps)?
I think, Nekketsu Oyako has Kingpin style final boss.

I wouldn't describe Castlevania's plot as "shitty", more like "simple" (then again, I'm biased). I'd like to bookmark that, too bad the link is dead: "In Japan, a pitch is a page, maybe two. The first page you write what the game is about and how you play it. And the second page, maybe you need an illustration. We don’t care about who, or what the story is, what the game world is, all of this doesn’t really matter." hg101.proboards.com/post/411183

and that ugly, floating robot thing makes for a terrible final boss. It's ok, the best part of it being its head - Neo X, a skull headed robot.

Because nobody's using any of old emulators that I use anymore. And it'd be nice to drop ePSXe. I use them. For PS1 i shuffle between ePSXe, pSX and Mednafen. I'm on Magic Engine too.

A brand new one? I had 3 before, all lasted for about a year. Putting plastic parts in the laser mechanism is plain trolling on Sony's behalf. Well, I've had mine for almost 8 years and it still works fine. It lays flat though and not vertical, could that have something to do with it? Don't think so, some parts just wear off and laser itself is pretty weak, gives you disc read errors.

I am now in possession of a PS2. Slim, to be more precise. What an attractive little system the PS2 slim is. A brand new one? I had 3 before, all lasted for about a year. Putting plastic parts in the laser mechanism is plain trolling on Sony's behalf.

If Nintendo doesn't want to ford "dirty waters" like EmuParadise and the likes, they need to get one thing plain and simple: Video Games should be like petrol--available in every damn station no matter what car you drive.
Like toei pointed out, the fact that the whole site has to go is really depressing, it helped me on a number of occasions with latest MAME romsets if anything.
P.S. I'll try to emulate more Nintendo games this year to celebrate this.

Siliconera and Hardcore Gamer are ok for your daily news, Gamespot and PC Gamer not so much--too pulpy.

Picturing everything and everyone on every step all the time. I've no Twitter nor Instagram and no intentions of getting one.

I'd be nice to see a new take on NES Seicross with more varied enemies, AI, proper bosses, better stage design, more firing upgrades, a stage map etc.

Also, what's the best MSX emulator these days? At the outset: blueMSX. Alternatively you can try openMSX or RetroArch.

I have been meaning to get a PS2. In fact, I'm kind of close to getting one. Only problem is, I live in the PAL region and with the PS2 there's still games that are shitty PAL conversions. So I'd have to import certain games from the US. In other words, I need some way to play imported games on my PAL PS2. I'm aware of some different ways of course, but if anyone has any 2 cents on the topic, that would be appreciated. US isn't 2nd PS2 worthy.

I'm surprised, no one sued them yet, in this brave, new, trendy world of ours.
