Just watched the 1st two episodes, and I'm quite enjoying it so far. Drac looks like his Castlevania self and the violence has been 90s OVA level, which is kinda refreshing given how much anime seems to shy away from that stuff these days (with exceptions). I've never actually played Castlevania 3 (Which is the game it's based on) so I'm only vaguely aware of the story and characters. But it's damn cool seeing an animated Belmont whipping stuff I had the credits playing as I was typing this and weirdly the Adventure Time people Frederator seem to be involved. Weird! Anyway, anybody else check this out? I think it's worth a watch if you like Castlevania (And if you don't like Castlevania....what's wrong with you! )

I'll watch tonight if so. The trailer looks great. Is it a Japanese studio that's handling the actual animation?

Downloaded it this morning and hoping to start it during lunch at work.
Frederator and Powerhouse Animation studios are handling the animation. Both American studios. But it definitely has that 90's look to it.

Oh, it's out now? Cool, I'll have to check it out. I actually just bought Castlevania III at a video game store a couple days ago, but haven't played it yet

OK I saw the Netflix preview on Youtube of this show and it looks good as an anime. But checking the wiki on the show it seems there's only 4 episodes. What the hell! That's not what I call a season. At least three time that much is to me. On the bright side a second season has been announced with 8 more episodes. Still four or five too short.

If 6 episodes of the X-Files can be considered a full season, then this can too.

Love(d) Castlevania but this is just not for me. Pass!
Wake me up when the inevitable "Castlevania: The Animated Series - The video game" is released and we'll talk though.

I want to watch it but I don't have Netflix.
Between this and that Stranger Things show everyone went nuts for I've been thinking about finally caving in soon.
Also, you really gotta play Castlevania III, it's excellent.

Yeah I was a bit disappointed to find it 4 episodes, but run time wise that just makes this the equivalent of those straight to (VHS ) anime movies from the 90s, so it's not too bad. Of course, the bad part of this series is realizing that #FucKonami are probably never gonna do anything with the Castlevania IP bar Pachinoslot machines *sigh*

I'd like to think they will if this does well enough. I'd love to see Arc System Works do a remake ala Hard Corps Uprising.

So is this what the failed movie has been turned into, or are they still trying to make that one?
