I discovered that "Barbie & The 3 Musketeers" was made by WayForward, and is thus, not total shit They've got basic platforming elements covered and there's fully voiced cat as well. That adds values.

Ueda mentions, that something interesting might happen if you come back to it after 6 loops, but i wasn't quite able to figure out what. shmuplations.com/akumajox68000/But what's refered to in the interview regarding the loops is a doodle of a cigarette smoking fake Simon. Oh, i see , i remember being well into the game on my 7th playthrough, but since i haven't noticed anything particularly interesting happening within, i just simply abandoned the idea

Andro Dunos(ARC) I dunno really what to say about this one. It seems like your ordinary 2D shooter, which takes inpirations from other all-time greats like Gradius, R-Type etc. It's a bit of a 'toughie' especially if you care about 5 credits restriction. Thankfully, the DIP Swich settings are generous enough to let you increase your stock lives up to 99.

Wasn't there supposed to be a painting that was tied to the system clock, though? Thought I'd read somewhere that the X68000 altered between four different seasonal paintings or something based on the system clock. Always wondered how that worked, if at all, on PS1. If you want to power-punch enemies in Toxic Crusaders(NES), you better get used to the 'Select' button there.

JRPGs - I think I'm finally come to terms that I just don't have the time or patience for these anymore. It's about time. Someone has to play this, D3 is some "cumpany" now. *** It helps that grinding puts most JRPGs on auto-pilot too. To be honest, I like some D3 published developed games. I am still playing Earth Defense Force and got some 0.2 % Trophies like Air Raider or Wing Diver Inferno difficulty trophy. Earth Defense Force 4.1 was maybe the last not-remaster and not-nintendo couch coop games that I have seen in a while. I like the Oneechanbara series due to the gameplay. Sadly, it is not complicated like some Fighting games or the Devil May Cry series, but I really liked the trash movies from Japan and Korea. Grindhouse movies are kinda forgotten. The only kinda similar thing in the west was Turbo Boy and Hobo with a Shotgun. Thus, I try to help D3 with their B-movie style game, but in this case, they were really lazy and uncreative. The PS2 had some interesting weird third person shooters, but that genre kinda died. I kinda support risky approaches and gameplay, but in these case.... as I said, they sucked really hard. I agree with you here

Someone must've had a very...saucy...night in Bangkok to come up with that logo. I think 'they' just had a laughter..

Bullova. From Combatribes.
Hmm.. is it really named after Indian battle axe or is it just some Italian stud, who likes beef pilaf and such.

This is pretty much the only thing that atheism has done for me. It might just as well help people with mid-life crisis syndrome, i imagine. It should vanish as soon as you realize-- you only live once. (just don't do anything stupid)

Visual Novels? I usually read a book or watch a movie, sorry , but i like the art in some of them I never really get these reactions, to be honest. I have a degree in English lit and I still read "trashy" stuff like VNs. If you're down with the art, which is the most common turn off, I'd say you should give them a shot! I tried a few, but i don't get the genre honestly, most Japanese developers insist how the gameplay is at utmost importance in video games for them and yet Visual Novels and Dating Sims flourishes there. Personally, it just doesn't grab me, i don't find it appealing. There are crappy books and movies, but i can't see anything in these type of games other than being 'soapy', most of the time. I mean, i like games where it feels like you play it, not press buttons to flip pages. Even worse, if i had someone to share my life with, i likely wouldn't even think about VN. Most couples i know, give me confusing face expressions when i mention them

Also Side Pocket, for SNES. I doubt I'll ever get through it. I could never figure out how to do the trick shots to advance. I think NES version is a bit harder regarding trick shots in comparison, but still similar in layout(i remember struggling badly on the last shot in that version). But then, there's always an online videos
