Really? I thought the gameplay has aged really well, too, and I'm being entirely sincere, here.
Anyway, I bought a 3DS (and no games, because literally none of them even remotely appeal to me... neither do any in the next few months line-up). I wish the fucking online store would open up, now, I wanna buy some VC games and get to the meat of why I bought this fucking thing, the MML3 demo.

Going to news sources and telling their story, seems just a viable a way to spread the info as sending emails to everyone, especially when said emails might've been compromised in the first place. I got all this info just as quickly as everyone else was getting it. Heck this thing has even been on certain news channels, so saying that Sony didn't inform the customer to me is a bit stretching the truth. Also, is it possible to have a conversation here without this turning into an outright argument? Sony didn't go to these third parties, the third parties went to them. It's Sony's responsibility to get this information out to their customers, and they failed on a critical level. The fact they so heinously failed in informing their customers (on top of their immense failure to protect this information in the first place) is just fucking embarrassing. Almost every news outlet reporting about this shit has commentary about how embarrassing this is for Sony and how poor a job they've been doing, too. The fact you're still this profoundly naive about the whole thing is pretty dumbfounding.

I mean what else could they have said. Are you seriously this dense? They've barely been in touch with their customer base at all, despite having opportunity after opportunity to do so. I haven't gotten a single e-mail from them, despite them having my e-mail address on file. The proper way to handle this would be to immediately release information on it being down to maintenance due to an outside attack or at least due to unforeseen circumstances, and then let their customer base know about this. Sure, 5 or so days after they made a blog post (which revealed they didn't know about the credit card information), but they've still completely failed at getting in touch with their customers, which is something that is gravely fucking stupid to do. If Sony is this inept, yes, it's that big a deal. Thinking they did anything better than a "bad" job is absolutely ludicrous. Thinking they did as good as even a "bad" job is still pretty crazy. Say what you will about Microsoft, but you will never, ever see them handle a customer service nightmare like this remotely this fucking poorly, and it's considerably less likely you'll see them go through a situation like this, as they're actually proactive about their gaming services and the security on them. RROD's didn't start out with a three-year warranty. Granted, this is a much more serious issue, but MS still didn't handle that with aplomb. RRoD's did have Microsoft being proactive about the situation, however. Before lawsuits came into play, they were already all over the situation with offering a 3 year warranty. Sony went through a similar situation with the PS2 ( link, link - Wiki used to have more on this, but it's been periodically deleted from the PS2 article, probably by Sony... notice how it took about 4 years from the lawsuit being filed before anything was actually done about it) where they were having errors working, but didn't start offering repairs until a long time after the errors had become a public debacle, and only offered repairs for about a year and a half, which was dictated by a class-action lawsuit made against them. It took years before they did anything about it (and relatively few people even heard they could get it repaired), and Microsoft's handling of their console errors is irrefutably more generous and well-known. We've also got Sony's shitty handling of YLOD this generation, too. Yeah, Microsoft has some gaping flaws, I'm not parading them as a hero or anything, but they're infinitely goddamn better than Sony with customer relations and being proactive about their services.

Sony seemed to be doing the right thing If you think that their extremely minimal communication and reassurance to their customer base was "doing the right thing," then holy fuck, what is wrong with you? If Sony were anything near "doing the right thing" this wouldn't have happened, and it wouldn't have taken them days before they released before they released a statement (on the 26th, they finally put an official statement up on their blog to customers, what, 5 days after it had started?). I get PSN advertisements in my e-mail a few times a week, but they couldn't even be arsed to send out something as simple as fucking e-mail to let me know what had happened, even though they clearly have my mailing address and are fine advertising to me constantly. Instead, I get an error code on the console that means absolutely nothing to me until I punch it into a Google search and have third parties alerting me my credit card information could be compromised and that my personal information has already been mined. Sony's treatment of their customers isn't just bad, it isn't just negligent, it seriously borders on being contemptuous. The fact anyone can defend it as being anything less than atrocious blows my mind, but at least the (very) popular opinion on this situation is that Sony has done something really, really stupid and are going to pay for it. The brand loyalty Sony's been carrying ever since Joe Average had his first religious experience with a video game playing Final Fantasy 7 back on the PS1 has been disgusting, and I'm more than glad to finally see Sony being exposed for being as terrible and villainous as they truly are. As far as this even blowing over? I highly doubt it. In addition to the lawsuits that are no doubt going to be attached to this situation, people still talk about back when Xbox Live was down for a day due to maintenance and people got a free game out of it. PSN has been down over a week and compromised personal information, then they did jack fucking shit in telling you about it and the only compensation they've reported offering is a few extra months if you decide to upgrade to Playstation Plus. No, seriously, I didn't make that up. XBL goes down, scheduled for one day, you get a free game. PSN goes down, clearly unscheduled and unwarned, due to a hacker attack that compromises your personal information for over an entire week, you get 3 months of an incredibly shitty subscription service that had just been down for an unscheduled week if and only if you buy a year, first. Say what you will about Microsoft, but you will never, ever see them handle a customer service nightmare like this remotely this fucking poorly, and it's considerably less likely you'll see them go through a situation like this, as they're actually proactive about their gaming services and the security on them.

Played the demo, and it wasn't too bad, but I've still got Strania to get around to before I even think about playing this. Stupid job taking up all my damn time.
Anyway, yeah. The voice acting. Uh...........

lol sony you're such a piece of reprehensible dog shit I'm glad this is opening a lot of peoples' eyes on how terrible Sony's customer service is and how little they care about their customers. There are still the diehard retards out there trying to say Sony is better than Microsoft in this department, but public opinion is definitely shifting away and the brand loyalty they had going into this generation, the only thing that saved them, is crumbling away after they've been one step behind and miles away in quality from Xbox since launch. No matter what you may think of Sony, these hackers are a million times worse. Let's hope some crime agency can track 'em down and chuck their filthy asses in jail I think the fact that Sony was using antiquated security measures to protect our information definitely, irrefutably makes them a million times worse.

I end up at work a couple hours early 3 days a week, so I bought Ys: The Oath in Felghana to keep me occupied during those times. It's my first Ys game, and I'm enjoying it so far! Not entirely certain I should've started the game on hard, though, these bosses can be brutal and as early as the second dungeon I'm already having trouble with some of the ordinary enemies. I'll probably adjust easily as I keep going, though.
Also: Really surprised at the localization work done on it, this is the kind I'd expect out of a good Atlus localization. Figured it was worth mentioning this, even if it might inflate Wyrdwad's ego a bit ;p

That new character looks stupid. This game is about Volnutt, god damn it.
Also, what the fuck? A DLC version before the game? Hey, maybe the full version will have you play as this dumbfuck, then you can buy the game a second time and actually play as Mega Man.
Fuck you, Capcom. Fucking fuck you. FUCK YOU. Stop it with this fucking stupid shit and just give us the sequel we wanted.
Why is Tron not in the trailer anymore? Is she not important anymore?
I am so angry today and this is like the icing on the cake holy crap.

Most of my best friends are long distance. Not being able to spend time with them really, really sucks. A local group of friends to play games and stuff with is nice, but living around a group of young twenties guys with no emotional sensitivity is really taxing and difficult.

Full time job and recently started playing MTG again for the first time in like 6 years. With those powers combined, I hardly have any time for video games at all.
Blaaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhh. I'm hardly even having time for internet, anymore. Having "a life" where you've got local friends and a job is really not all that it's cracked up to be, but at least my life is on track, now.
