As much as I complain about IGAvanias, I could see myself backing it if it was struggling to meet its funding goal, but I really don't see the point of backing it now. I mean, it's already been confirmed that there will be a physical print run outside of the Kickstarter copies. So, uh... unless you really care about a slipcase, some cheap useless trinkets, and a tiny bit of Kickstarter-exclusive digital content that probably isn't worth giving a damn about, why not just buy it when it's out, for probably less? I'm just gonna pick it up when it's inevitably marked down to 20 bucks or something. I imagine it'll be dirt cheap on Steam eventually too. From what I read on the KS page, it isn't going to be released in stores. The only physical copies being made are the ones that people specifically pay for.

It says in the FAQ at the bottom:
"Will there be a physical release of the game after it comes out?
There will indeed be a physical release of the game in the future. However, the Kickstarter-exclusive box set is a celebration for fans willing to support IGA in his time of need, so the retail version of the game will not contain any of the Kickstarter-exclusive bonus content."
And the Kickstarter-exclusive bonus content appears to be:
"The mighty swordwhip A super-powerful hidden boss A Kickstarter Edition slipcase"
All the stretch goals seem to apply to all releases of the game (honestly, it'd be dumb if they didn't). Of course, there are the extra goodies you can get for pledges of $100 or more, if one feels that stuff is worth the money.

Seems like they updated it from when the KS started. It explicitly said they were only making physical copies for KS in the beginning. Glad to hear that more people will be able to get access to the version they want. In fact, since I don't have to obtain a physical copy through the KS now, I can lower my funding amount. Thanks!

Do we know who the publisher is yet? I'm thinking that might be something worth taking into account, especially if you are from Europe. Though even if the physical release isn't released here, one could always import.
It seems this game is very much targeted at the US.
I think Mighty no.9 is published by Deep Silver. Maybe they're behind this too? At least they're german.

Plus much like his recent Castlevania games, it's going at least be pretty good even if it's not AS good as my favorite Castelvania games.

Just throwing a random thought out there, if Slender Man is in Bloodstained I know exactly what his description should be: "a demon from future folklore".

By the way, I just want to mention that I bought a copy of "HG101 presents: Castlevania" and have been reading it the past few days, very good work! I especially love all the trivia stuff at the end.

Enter the Furniture.
I received a KS project update in my mail and there was some concept art of what sort of special attacks are planned. One of them is Miriam summoning a chair to sit on... This should replenish MP faster, but in reality, it just tickles IGA's furniture fancy.

HA! I knew that chairs would be involved in the game somehow!

This just makes me think I want Inafune to make a game based on the show "Supernatural"...
