Yeah, between the two reviews one guy loved the game and the other one hated it because of the insanity mechanic and the saving system prevented him from exploring the town. Apparently, the game opens up later on allowing you to really chose what you wanna explore in the town.

ah very nice, i look forward to seeing it. Catalyst, what settings are you using with Bandicam? The game works fine when i'm not recording but when i start to record i can get to the first loading screen with the crowbar dripping blood, and then everything freezes. Also the footage is weird. it gets the menu fine but the camera just shakes from side to side in game in the recorded footage.

Hmm, I don't think I did anything special to bandicam. In fact it was my first time using it. I just check to make sure it was on Directx Mode.

so is it a coincidence that I mentioned Rule of Rose in this thread and now it has an article on HG101's front page?

Also the footage is weird. it gets the menu fine but the camera just shakes from side to side in game in the recorded footage. I just remembered the second time I played the game and recorded I tried messing with the settings on the game and I did get weird graphical errors, so I restarted with the default stuff. The first reviewer mentions the game is rather glitchy. So the Zaphie 2 download worked perfectly and I managed to continue on further into the game. Turns out I missed something the first time. That room with the safe I explore after coming to, has a picture frame next to it if you inspect it twice it'll go down and you'll notice the combination to the safe is on the back. Inside the case is some film for a camera. The camera can be found further on into the game. Anyway, once I got out of the cabin I went back to check on our Harry Mason-look alike. He wasn't there. Game let me finally explore into the town where I found the actual camera which it turns out is used in conjunction with the film to save the game. Also, it turns out the green bottles hold the pill which fixes your sanity, and the blue one's must be for health. Before finding that out I wound up in the maze, this time I used the right hand on the wall trick and was able to find a drawing on the floor which let me escape back into the real world. Currently, I'm searching a motel room that has a bunch of bodies in it. I'll be recording later on and uploading it youtube. And tomorrow as soon as I get back from work I'll upload the game somewhere as well. Also wound up finding what might be the entirety of Ghost Temple. Turns out the game had mutiple releases in different languages including traditional Chinese, simplified Han, and Korean. Somewhere along the line an Indian and english release for Europe was planned, but I have no idea if it went through. I have found only one inkling of the game possibly being released in english. Eitherway, tomorrow I'll also be uploading this on youtube and uploading it somewhere.

Which Zaphie 2 download are you using now? The one from the chinese site? I remember finding the film in the safe but i had no way of using it. I still haven't found a camera. I Ended up getting to a motel and finding a few bodies but then i got launched into the fireball nightmare world. Nice, have you played Ghost Temple yet? EDIT :youtube won't let me upload the file because they don't support the format, even though it clearly says they support .avi files. But anyway, What happens in the recorded footage is, the screen shakes uncontrollably on one frame and just freezes. Everything up until that is fine. Like the menu and the part inside the car. Edit again... www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7sT7EsxKpY&feature=youtu.be I recorded some more and it just freezes now, no shaking. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwcmbxJM4Y0&feature=youtu.beAnd...shaking. On default settings

Thanks!. Did you try the Zaphie 2 download to see does it differ from the other one? like if it's still crashing. Mine seems to randomly crash if a cutscene comes up. Sometimes it crashes when the bloody crowbar loading screen comes up and other times it crashes when the eyeballs loading screen pops up. Thats only when i force it into windowed though, i have no other way of recording it. Also that fireball thing is bullshit, got it twice! Can't get away. But i learned the hard way that Blue pills must be health and green are for the insanity.

Seems to work fine. No problems so far anyway. I've gotten out of the first town area and into the next. The game might seem open but it does tend to funnel you places by simply telling you, you can't go there yet. I wound up at a police station and got through that today. The game got so damn creepy in there once the lights got turned off. I'll be uploading more videos tomorrow. I was just reminded of a couple more horror games today. Fiend - A 2D survival horror game greatly influenced on the work of H.P. Lovecraft. Only today did I realize why their developer was so familiar, said developer being Frictional Games of Amnesia and SOMA fame. I remember playing this many years ago on my first comp. In fact, it turns out that this was their very first video game. There should be multiple versions of this around with different languages, because I played it in english. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYIDnD5fdGMI"m Not Alone - A survival horror game where you're an exorcist who has been summoned to a mysterious Austrian mansion to free it from supernatural evil. The game was released on Steam and as soon as I got a powerful enough cop I was watching for it to drop in price, but unfortunately the game got quite a few bad reviews and eventually it was taken off of Steam all together. Not only that the developer's links to other sites it's being sold all seem to be dead ends, making the game impossible to buy. That being said my friend was able to snag a copy of that at the same time he got Kabus 22 for me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh5NSnQgpzo

I've been searching for places to get ahold of Kabus 22 and I'm Not Alone, so that I don't have to wait for my friend to bring me those games, and I think I might've found that at some direct download sites. I'll tell you how it goes. That Ghost Temple download I tried last night didn't seem to work that well, so I'm going see if another download might work. Also, Kabus 22, had a arcade-styled FPS game made as a promotion before the games release. It was called K22: Demolition Day. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW71PDbl83g

Ah interesting. Pity about Ghost Temple. What are the sub files on the Zaphie 2 download? the .sub file and the CD rar file, do i need them?

I believe that the .sub files has something to do with the .img file but I'm not completely sure, I know one of the .rar files has a .exe that needs to be used to replace inside the game once it's installed.
