frictionalgames.com/site/fienddownloadFrictional have download links for Fiend on their site. When i try to mount Zaphie 1 i get an error message. EDIT : nevermind, a mistake on my part. Btw, the download from the chinese site is the same size as the original demo one, so is the demo one actually the full game?

I rarely get scared with horror games. The Witch's House is one of the few exceptions. And it's totally free. Review: shockradar.org/2012/11/20/the-witchs-house-a-harrowing-immersive-free-to-play-horror-experience/ Download link: vgboy.dabomstew.com/other/witchhouse.htm

The witches house is great! If you liked that you should check out Misao, Yume Nikki, The Crooked Man, Mad Father and Ib. All free and all in the same style as The Witches house.

has anyone ever played Ghosthunter? it's not strictly speaking a horror title, more of an action game with a horror game aesthetic (predicting post Resident Evil 4 horror games now that I think about it), but it nevertheless goes for scares, so I think it counts
anyway it's basically a Ghostbusters game from the developers of MediEvil and Primal, that is if Ghostbusters focused more on horror than laughs (though there's still a few of those), which is reflected in the designs of the ghosts themselves, which are simultaneously goofy and creepy, it also has a pretty prestigious voice cast for such an obscure game, including Rob Paulsen, Joe Morton and Michael Gambon
it was an awesome overlooked gem back in 2004, however the last time I tried to replay it a few years ago it didn't seem to have aged well and I got bored and quit, though perhaps if I tried again I would be kinder to it, point is your mileage may vary on how good the game actually is these days but it's nevertheless an interesting game

Ghost Hunter was fun. It was sort of similar to carrier in the way it didn't really stand out. Definitely worth a look.

Hmm, I could've played that a while ago but we wound up going through Kuon instead. Might have to pop that in and give it a try. For this weekend, I will most definitly try to go through some of my survival horror backlog. Atleast, one DC title, one PS1 or PS2 title.

I found a beta version of whiteday on a Korean website yesterday. It has the multiplayer option in the main menu. I'm on the phone now so I'll link it later. I know whats crashing Zaphie 2 now. Its the loading screens with the eyes or the bloody crowbar. Does anyone know why they might be crashing the game?

perhaps two more to add to the list would be Clock Tower 3 and Haunting Ground (which started life as Clock Tower 4 as legend has it), both of which are Capcom games that have you running away and hiding from bad guys instead of fighting, but Haunting Ground gives you a dog to help you out
unfortunately both games suffer from noticeable drops in quality after certain points, Clock Tower 3 gets pretty bad after you kill the gas mask guy and Haunting Ground is never quite as good as that first segment in the castle with "Debilitas" chasing you (and strangely there exists a secret ending that lets you actually beat the game during that part, so maybe the developers knew this)
overall though Haunting Ground is still a pretty awesome game, I love it's surreal European castle setting, the idea is that you're trapped in the castle of a mad alchemist who has spent centuries in isolation and the architecture of the castle reflects his disturbed mind, so basically what Resident Evil is to George Romero's living dead series, Haunting Ground is to Dario Argento's Suspiria
so Clock Tower 3 is skippable I guess but I highly recommend any horror fans check out Haunting Ground
on a weird side note the dog in Haunting Ground is evidently supposed to be the same dog from Resident Evil 4, meaning that Haunting Ground and Resident Evil take place in the same world, meaning that Resident Evil's world full of crazy biotechnology exists in a world of crazy alchemy, which actually makes a lot of sense

Haunting Tower's secret ending is only accessible after finishing the game though I believe?
The game peters out the later it gets though which is a shame, the first two foes are creepier by far.

You guys tried Cry of Fear?
It's a much better Silent Hill(ish) game than all the non Team Silent ones. Brilliant stuff. Very impressive for a free standalone mod.
