Site says the Platinum deadline is now March 31, and rewards will be downloads again like last year.
It also says some more rewards will be added in February, but I doubt they'll be anything interesting like the Game & Watch reproduction.

Be nice if they gave it a decent send off but I'm pretty sure I'll be buying crappy Mario hats, WOO AUSTRALIA.

I always found the Australian Club Nintendo to be a big bust, the only things they listed in the catalog weer basg or pencil cases and sticket sheets. I think they evens till list cases for the original DS! The really cool stuff likes game and watches or statues or figures I've never seen as an option Given I have til september, I'll keep an eye out for any new possible stuff then just burn my stars on some random junk. Random junk is better than nothing at all I guess.

Used most of my points getting a Zelda themed 3ds carry case for my Zelda theme'd XL. Wasn't buying enough to get the game and watch. The rest tbh was mainly just cacky merch in the UK. Doubt they'll give the UK one too many big send off items given how much Nintendo likes to neglect Europe/UK :-P

It figures that NOW would be the time I'd be so close to reaching platinum...

If any of you are planning on getting the february rewards and are still missing points, I suggest you start buying them on ebay now before they increase in price (which is happening as we speak). I went on a points buying spree last week, I made a post about it on neogaf and less than an hour later two sellers had already increased their prices.
Right now the best bang for your buck is buying the 3DS system codes which you can find for $10, and give you 160 coins. You can add as many 3DS systems as you want to your account.
I'm sure that after february the points will go down in prize again after all the hoopla is over, but the physical rewards will probably be gone by then.

After missing out on the preorder for the Majora's Mask collector's edition (which sold out instantly) I'm trying not to get my hopes up :/.

I would take advantage of any cheap retail Nintendo games like Spirit Camera, Steel Diver etc.

I do miss when you could get awesome soundtrack cds all day through Club Nintendo. Luckily, I have exactly 150 points left after redeeming for the 3DS Zelda case and some game codes over the past few months. So hopefully there's a decent GB game or something added in February and I can be completely cleaned out.

We're all going to get screwed on this, no two ways about it.

999,999,999 coins: Miyamoto goes to your house and shakes your hand. Every other reward is variations of that shitty Mario hat.

Out of curiosity, anyone else bothering? I'm just about done, I got to Platinum but I'm worried I won't have enough for the decent prizes (if any), and if I'll even have a chance against all the scalpers out there.

Not done with codes yet, it is more time consuming than I thought. I broke 1200 and Platinum at the moment, I feel I have enough for something cool but the hard part is likely making sure you can order something. This update is going to have a lot of traffic.

Even the hottest stuff they've ever put up lasted at least a day, don't worry. The first few hours after an update everyone posts on internet forums a lot about perceived value instead of just ordering stuff they want.

Did they even say that they're offering better stuff to Platinum members during this final promotion? I haven't bought anything Nintendo-related in a while, so I'm not too concerned. Been sitting on around 1500 coins for ages.
