It's a good thing, otherwise there'd be no game discussion.

I got coins off of Kid Icarus: Uprising and Starfox 64 3D, which was nice.

Welp, I managed to scrounge up a total of 1585 coins worth of codes. Sadly, I lost 210 coins in expired surveys. The list of eligible products defies all reason: like, why does every Pokemon game offer points except for Platinum? But what to do now? Should I just sell the codes for profit? Is that a thing people are doing, and are they easy to get? I guess it makes more sense to go for some of the physical rewards, namely the posters or the pouch, since the 3DS games will be on sale again sooner or later.

Didn't know if I should start a new topic on this, but I've got 300 club nintendo coins (65 for PLATINUM! I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS CLOSE DANG IT!) to spend, and I'm wanting suggestions I've pared down what I want to download
Dr. Luigi Super Metroid (VC Wii U edition) NES REMIX (I've got the dual pack on my Gamefly list, for both 3DS and Wii U as to see which is better)
If anyone can offer suggestions, please do. I picked up Mvs.DK Minis on The Move (which is fantastic), and as I said, I only have 300 coins right now. I've got a hacked Wii System so some of the VC games are already on my Wii system.

Dr. Luigi is worth it alone for the online multiplayer, but honestly my order of precedence is something along the lines of: First choice: NES Remix Second: Super Metroid Third: Dr. Luigi Dr. Luigi is really only recommended if you're like me and grew up playing Dr. Mario. More importantly, I'd just get something that's only available on the Wii U. So in other words, I'd boil down the choices to NES Remix if you want unique gameplay you can't get with emulators, or Super Metroid if you really want to play without the TV. EDIT: As for what I chose when I got the coins, I went for Chibi-Robo Photo Finder. It's... a lot better than I expected. The photo-taking is only about a fourth of the experience. Most of the time you take jobs for toys (mini-games) and go around cleaning (which I'm sure will turn most people off, but it's actually pretty fun.) The characters feel realistic despite being overly weird or cartoony, and the atmosphere is top-notch. If you've bought every other game already, go for this one.

The compilation of both NES Remixes is, overall pretty fun but I wasn't too happy with NES Remix 1 itself. I've seen some stores already put the physical disk that has both parts on sale now and then so I wouldn't bother spending the coins on just volume 1 when you can get Super Metroid or Dr. Luigi instead. But then again if you're into Dr. Mario in general, like, it's Super Metroid it's the raddest game. I know you mentioned you hacked your Wii so you could pirate the VC games but, something to keep in mind is that Sega and Nintendo in particular actually do make some decisions about their new game design based on which of their classics are selling well, it's why Link Between Worlds was designed the way it was. Just a thought, it's a rare interest where our purchasing the old games can actually make a difference.

Just a thought, it's a rare interest where our purchasing the old games can actually make a difference. Oh I understand the situation with VC. The first game I got on VC for the Wii U was Earthbound. I played through that game on ZSNES, but I wanted to contribute and support them for putting that game through after so many years of them not acknowledging it hardly at all. I plan to get a few 3D classics from Sega, mainly waiting for OutRun 3D before I do. I hacked my system mainly because I like the idea of having all these games easily on the Wii. I had traded my prior system in, and lost my downloads (mainly that's on me). A number of the games I have put on the Wii are either games I had previously bought on Wii Shop Channel, or cannot be purchased on either shops. I think I'm going to go through with Dr. Luigi, NES Remix is on my gamefly list, I just wonder if I should get the 3DS or Wii U version. I don't know which is superior or if there is that much a difference between the two.

Nyarg! My projected total is now 2395 points. That last dangling 5 mocks me. It would have been better to fall short by a larger amount. (Somehow I stumbled upon a clearance copy of America's Test Kitchen for an extra 30.)
Before I go buy some discounted junk on the eShop, I don't suppose someone has a spare code kicking around? The eligible products include some really weird obscurities: Elite Beat Agents and Professor Layton 1 and 4, for instance.

I'm still 295 points short of Platinum. Probably not going to make it at this point. To make matters worse, I just bought Wind Waker HD, and it didn't have a Club Nintendo insert in it. This was brand new off of Amazon, not used.

Just barely managed to hit Platinum status. Had to resort to buying 200 coins off of ebay. Thank god for the "family account" option.

I'm probably going to take the time to get up to Platinum status today. Last year, the elite rewards were just digital games and I chose Dr. Luigi, a gold-level game, even though I reached platinum level. (because I never buy digital versions of games available on physical media) I'm hoping the rewards will be better this year, but I'm predicting they'll be exactly the same.

Well, I just got the Super Mario 3D World OST from the EU Club Nintendo and I'm hoping my gut telling me that there's not going to be anything better before Club Nintendo ends is right.

(I had been wondering if I was better off trying to sell than using my points myself. Much too late now, of course.) Ended up being only $1 per 10 coins, so $20 in total. Not bad at all, considering that it would have cost 10 times that amount if I'd been trying to obtain them legitimately.
