Oh man, there are so many. So many series failed to make the leap from 6th gen to 7th gen consoles.

Dino Crisis - it is dead, so dead, not even teasing like at Onimusha or putting Easter Eggs in some games, it is dead -Condemned Which is too bad about Dino Crisis, I see a lot of potential in rebooting that series, you could either go the RE7 approach of first person horror but with velociraptors and T-rexes after you, that'd be real intense or even the more action heavy RE4 approach would be a good fit for Dino Crisis, at any rate there needs to be more games with dinosaurs, for real. I also think Condemned would be a great candidate for a reboot, I think what killed it was the story in 2 got so stupid (plus Monolith, like fellow Seattle based developer Valve, seems to have a phobia of making a third entry in their series, they've literally never done it), but considering Condemned is basically the grandaddy of first person horror which is so popular today, now would be the perfect time to reboot, but just try to keep the story from going off the rails. Command & Conquer. While Tiberium Alliances (a browser game) is still alive and supported, we haven't see a main entry in the series since 2010, and Generals 2 was cancelled twice. It's really too bad about Generals 2, fucking EA sucks so hard.

I agree, the lack of dinosaurs is huge. At the PS3 gen, we had tons of zombies, time for dino! Too bad that Capcom lost lots of money and they can only create one AAA title in a year. regarding condemned Yeah, I heard that the CEO is trying to find a Indie studio for another condemned, but that news is kinda old. It was from 2015. According to an interview, it sold poorly and they never wanted to put Multiplayer in the game, but they were forced to do that. They wanted to put more stuff at singleplayer, but it was not a possiblity due to budget. At the moment, they are focused at Lord of the Rings games. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin I do not comprehend. no indication of similarities, It just shares the name like the movie "revenge". There are lots of movies with the same name. Besides, lots of companies are also using brands to get money in a very easy way. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin

The saddest has to be Ultima and the way it was so thoroughly driven into the ground by EA.
Wing Commander sort of faded without Chris Roberts.
X-Wing didn't survive Lucas's prequel obsession. Dark Forces / Jedi Knight just stopped.

Dark Forces / Jedi Knight just stopped. I wonder what a Star Wars FPS could be like today? From what I know there was a canceled project from a few years ago that would have been basically a Call of Duty style take on Star Wars.

Nintendo approached Criterion Games to make a Wii U entry of F-Zero. There is interest in resurrecting the franchise.

Its too many from me but gonna post three of them.
-Claw(Aka Captain Claw) Just stoped after first game, But game promised sequel. Techland somehow aquired Claw trademarks, But that IP become wasted into unrelated title Nikita The Mystery Of the Hidden Treasure.
-Medal of honor EA decied take slice from Acivsion cake and they gonna drop World War 2 theme into Modern times But sadly for EA it become last nail to coffin when Warfighter sales become poor.
-Army Men After 3DO Closed doors Army Men games never returned to former glory.

Pretty much, any series under Konami. Genso Suikoden, Goemon, Castlevania.
Traditional numbered Phantasy Star, dead. Viewtiful Joe, dead. Breath of Fire, dead. Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu. Dead. Parasite Eve. Pretty much dead, where can you go from the 3rd Birthday? Darkstalkers. Dead as disco. Rival Schools United by Fate. Shinobi. Ghosts 'n Goblins, Ghouls 'n Ghosts/Makaimura. Super dead. Seeing people complain about the "difficulty" of Cuphead on facebook groups, and even Kotaku blog posts about how Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is poorly aged and poorly "programmed in terms of gameplay," makes me wonder what the epidemic is on rage-quitting.

Breath of Fire 6 was released last year and Seiken Densetsu had the rather popular Rise of Mana running from 2014 trough 2016.

Wow, I didn't even know Rise of Mana existed at all. I'm tempted to try out Breath of Fire 6 since it looks free. I'm trying to find it on Android, but looks like I have some scrolling to do.

I'm tempted to try out Breath of Fire 6 since it looks free. I'm trying to find it on Android, but looks like I have some scrolling to do. It's crap, and is a Breath of Fire game in the same way that a Castlevania-themed pachinko machine is a Castlevania game, which is to say not at all. It also bombed super hard and last I heard it was getting shut down this year. It's probably already gone as we speak.
